Yeah, it's been kind of a convoluted journey, I think in part because Brandon wasn't sure where he wanted to go with the idea. But the last time they talked about it he and Dan were pretty set with their direction for it as a series. It's a neat idea, especially for them to cowrite, so I'm excited to see how the actual novel turns out.
Reckoners would be such a great show, just not sure for which streamer. Especially with Netflix so trigger happy to cancel. Maybe Apple. That’s not a market they’ve entered yet. I think it’s only a matter of time before we get a Mistborn movie/show. Stands alone if it bombs. Has plenty of room for growth if it doesn’t.
I honestly think Jeffrey Wright would do really well. He's got the voice, the quiet presence, the learned-man look... the bald head...
What are the Skyward covers, are those British covers? Because those rule and I just assumed they were premium.
Yeah. When my friend and I were in Dublin last year, we both had to stop ourselves from replacing our entire Sanderson collection just due to covers.
I mean some of them are variants but also he does probably have that many books because thats mainly cosmere and Skyward focused.
I own... 31* Sanderson books in paper copy. There's six more that I own in audio that I'd like to get in paper form soon (Alcatraz). I also own a copy audio-only ones of his... I think there's only 37 ("only" lmao) in paper forms. *(34 with WoT)
By my count of his Wikipedia entry, 29 novels (+2 announced, SP4 and SA5), 3 short works collections, 2 novellas, 2 graphic novels, 3 WOT novels. Then a bunch of audio/ebook-only stuff that doesn't have a print copy. But maybe I'm missing something @Garrett? I should have kept track of what I was counting haha.
The first Stormlight book I got in paperback and it sits next to all my hardcovers lookin like a dummy. I've got a lot of variation, it's not super pretty but it was my journey.
I’ve got the individually bound White Sands, so my counting may be one higher than yours because of that?
I’m in the UK so these are all UK covers except the blue Dawnshard one which is from Dragonsteel. All variants too so I have hardbacks/paperbacks of them all! I didn’t even think about including the WoT novels but I’ve got the 3 paperbacks
same, until i lent it to a friend and she loved it (duh) so i let her keep it and bought the hc to match
my brother is deep into mistborn but ive been sitting on the way of kings for far too long now and want to finally start it because i know when i do ill become obsessed
Just finished Yumi, and this is by far my favorite of the newer books. Really cool worldbuilding, great character development, and the signature Sanderlanch. The illustrations are also gorgeous and added a lot to the story.
