Secret Project 1 is now available!

 

Sweet. Definitely waiting for my hardcover but the year of sanderson has officially begun.

 

Yeah I had it sent to my Kindle and checked out the front matter, but I'll also be waiting until the hardcover arrives to read. Looks gorgeous though.

I'm also like ~7 books behind on my reading list before I can start 2023 proper, so gonna be reading a loooot this coming week lol.

I was so sure I would wait for my box/HC but caved the second I saw the email hah.

Maybe a third or so through, just finished part 3. A very fun, breezy story so far (with a tad of Hoid embellishment here and there).

 

I just got the audiobook loaded onto my phone. Gonna hit play when I start raking leaves here in a few.

 

GAHHH now I'm 2 books behind. Still need to read the new Mistborn, and now Secret Project 1.

I've been trying to finish the Farseer books and the last one is dragging. Gotta avoid this thread for a while so I don't see any spoilers.

I just finished Assassain’s Quest like a week or so ago!

 

It's an excellent series. I fell down the rabbit hole and am nearly finished with everything, except I skipped the Liveship Traders books. Turns out those are kind of important so I might have to go back and read those too.

 

I’ll take the Liveship Traders after I finish my re-read (and first read of the new one) Wax and Wayne books!

 

I have finished SP1! I enjoyed this but it felt kinda Cytonic to me. I don't want to spoil anything but there were a lot more questions left unanswered and a few connections that I'm curious about but I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would in the first few chapters :(

 

Who do you think he is telling the story to? Is it Kelsier? We're supposed to have met them and I think it's a fellow worldbringer.

 

not sure about Kelsier since we know they don’t get on but I’m definitely thinking Scadrial! Also, given when it’s set. We’ve now met Ulaam again and there’s rockets! I’m thinking it’s set after/during MB Era 3 so we may see more of him

 

I was thinking it was in the same part of the timeline you were. Lots to ponder.

 

Because the physical copies of Secret Project 1 have been further delayed by the recent blizzards in Utah (they were absolutely crazy), Dragonsteel is going to start shipping February's loot box immediately, until physical copies come in and they can start shipping those.

So while I'm eager to get to SP1, seeing the first of the themed boxes soon will be fun too!

 

Got Way of Kings for christmas, after Shadow of the Gods its onto Stormlight.
