I entered Days 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5 for the chance to get hardcover versions of books I only own in paperback/good re-gifts.
Oh no, my boss gave me a Visa gift card that will cover the other two in the trilogy. I hate that I just purchased those, too. Ready to panic buy Warbreaker and Elantris when they're back in stock, haha.
@Vivatoto @Garrett we talked here a little while back about the novellas and I just want to reiterate that you should both read them if you haven't yet. I really enjoyed all three, but I just finished Evershore last night, and holy crap that was fun. It's my favorite of the three novellas for sure, and there are some huge moments in the last third of the book with major implications for the series. Highly recommended. @GBlades I saw your Goodreads review and it pretty much tracks with my thoughts on Evershore too haha.
They're all collected now right? That's how I've been wanting to read them. I'll definitely read them next time I'm in the mood for some sci fi.
Aw nice! Evershore was great. Favourite of the 3 and can see why it wouldn’t fit into Cytonic. Would be happy to have continued stories in that vein. not yet. I think it’s April they are releasing them.
New hardback editions announced by Gollancz. The Way of Kings Part 1 & 2 - 24th February 2022 Words of Radiance Part 1 & 2 - 14th April 2022 Oathbringer Part 1 & 2 - 21st July 2022 Happy collecting!
I like the US covers but the UK covers have always been really impressive too, and these are no exception.
That's a relief. If he's just taking a writing break that's totally okay. I hope that's all this is. He's been pushing himself hard for years now.
Starting to think Stormlight 5 might be pushed back a year or two. Mistborn 7, the Alcatraz 1-5 relaunch and new #6, and Skyward 4 are all mostly done so he can coast for awhile.
Yeah, I'm figuring it's probably something like this—and totally understandable. I also think maybe he wasn't expecting how dire his warning would come across to fans, haha.
