Same, Play Crack especially is unreal live! Once I actually saw Soco as an opener which was an...interesting way of starting off a gig.

 

haha, i remember when they were opening with Soco at some shows and we talked about how strange that was in the AP forums.

 

iirc it was Soco straight into Vices, and as much as I love Soco it definitely doesn't prepare you for that at all haha, but they can play anything in any order and I'll absolutely love it tbh

 

at least Daisy kinda prepares you for that... i mean, it doesnt have an acoustic guitar track before Vices but its got a slow quiet church hymn lol....

I think there's a shade of hope that we might still get an album announcement around the time they originally were intending to drop the single.

It doesn't make sense that they'd set a release date of the 20th for the single, then suddenly renege on that. The date has to have some sort of significance. I also don't buy that they were 'forced' to release the single earlier because of an Amazon leak because you must be able to restrict when Amazon puts stuff up. We must hear something by the end of the week; at least, I'm hopeful we will.

 

Wasn't Mene up on Amazon the night before they played it? Sounds intentional if its happened twice.

 

Amazon leaks stuff all the time expressly because you can't really control it. This definitly went up before it was supposed to.

 

Yeah it was, with the same "releasing in three days loljk you can have it now" type thing. No chance of it being a screw up twice.

I don't see too many other bands having problems with it leaking stuff? If so, especially after they had the same problem with Mene, why not just put it up on Amazon on the actual day of the reveal to keep it secret?

If you want your music on certain services you have to submit all the data and metadata at some point. Depends on who is distributing when that gets sent and you can't reliably predict when it will actually hit the store for preorder you can just try and hope it's not too soon before your planned launch.

I get information from Amazon or international iTunes all the time. Happens to everyone.

Needs to be approved and go through a process, can't guarantee it would happen on the exact right date.

Yeah, Mene was live. We posted the videos for it. Then their new website leaked early with links to the song and YouTube and stuff. Then Amazon. Then YouTube and official launch on their site.

They're bad at rollouts.

 

That's fair enough, I guess it did the band no harm having the song come up on Amazon earlier anyway, probably only just helped the hype...were Brand New forced by the Amazon listing to officially reveal it earlier this time then? Should we have got it Friday or something?
