Album of some sort coming

 

Thanks man. So excited. As I've said earlier..Hubby in 3 days got to Jam out to all the new Radiohead...guess who got to check out some new BN with me todayyy. Right about the time I started my download...my pager went off for a major car accident. I missed so much.

 

I don't see it on Spotify.

 

Well, they suck. Haha. Should be up there in the next 24 hours at least.

 

Just bought the pre order for the "I am a nightmare" vinyl pretty excited to get it late June. I'm just really excited for anything brand new puts out and so far I'm really loving this song

Def more killers and interpol than YFW.

 

Thought you guys were nuts, gave it another listen, and now I can totally hear a little Killers/Interpol in the verses. Chorus still screams YFW to me, though.

 

okay, i know it doesnt necessarily sound like this particular song a ton, but this is what comes to mind everytime i hear it right now for some reason:

 

I think YFW has much stronger choruses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

agreed. like, "Secondary" could be one of the catchiest songs / most underrated. that song is dumb catchy to me.

 

Magazines is the best song on YFW, easily.

Yeah, but you could say that about a lot of songs if you compare a whole album to a single. I Am a Nightmare has an overly simple chorus to begin with, but the chorus isn't everything. I like the verses and I'd say it has a pretty strong breakdown, especially if we want to compare it to YFW (insert obligatory "this isn't high school" diss here).

Magazines is easily my least favorite Brand New song.

 

I'm just speaking on the comparison to YFW's choruses, which I don't think is apt.

 

"Last Chance To Lose Your Keys is the weakest track" on YFW lol

"ive been thinkin bought you and me girl, we got somethin goin on"

 

It's just somewhat reminiscent of them. Faster paced, higher in tone, multilayered vocals singing an upbeat, catchy tune, another layer of vocals singing a different line, etc.

Like I said in my first post on it, it sounds like a direction they could've gone after YFW rather than anything actually on it.

 

"Failure by Design" has to be the worst on YFW. It was literally written to mimic Good Charlotte because they needed more songs for the album.

Never really noticed a Good Charlotte influence before, but now I'm thinking that's going to be one of those things I can't un-hear.
