I'm really excited to hear a studio version of Sealed To Me.

 

I have to agree that this one isn't grabbing me as much us every other song they have released as a single since forever. But I've still bought the vinyl at a ridiculous price to get it to the UK and listened to it multiple times already and it's stuck in my head.

 

He is singing in a lower range than normal but it sounds like he did on demos

 

This thread has made me realize that after 10+ years of playing in bands I still don't really know what a hook is. Good thing I only play drums.

I like the song. I'm more just excited for new BN.

 

I guess I just don't need intricate song structures, slightly inaudible too close to the mic screaming, and random sounds/noise/feedback to enjoy a Brand New song.

I LOVE the straightforwardness of it. I'd love a whole album of stuff similar to this from them, with his voice and their typically decent (and sometimes great) lyrics.

 

I feel like this is Daisy all over again with that comment.

 

This x1000. I have the lyric sheet framed on my wall. Had to beg someone to send me one from America, they had three!

 

Wonder when the album(?) will be released. I'm guessing November.

 

Idk daisy was more different which led to some people not liking it originally...this feels a bit like a regression...think the new Radiohead album and Hotelier songs have spoiled me, but just happy some BN is out

 

I agree, this song just feels like a step back. Nothing interesting about it at all aside from like, 2 lines of lyrics. I tried to listen again, and got bored halfway through.

 

I meant the feeling that @Jason Tate post that I quoted evoked when Jesse said Daisy would be polarizing.

 

Song is dope! Excited for whatever these guys put out. Just thankful it's happening in the first place.

This song fits well with the new Thrice album. Straight forward rock music.

 

I like this song. Not huge on the main riff, but I dig the verses and love the chorus and bridge. To me, this and Mene make sense together when played back to back, if that makes sense. Excited to hear whatever else comes from them.

 

Not as good as Bieber tbh.

 

Love the song.

 

Not enough people say "presto change-o" these days, haha.

 

Except this is more Gaslight Anthem and Thrice is more Breaking Benjamin or something.
