Yeah I'm wondering about that too. $30 USD for one song on vinyl. I'm a superfan but I rather wait. Doesn't seems worth it. I'll get digitally only for now.

Missed the full release as I was out with my girlfriend for her birthday. Got home and spent as much on buying a fucking 12" single as much as I spent on a very fancy meal.. Damn you Brand New.

I really really like this. Does it feel like it's on the level of TDAG or Daisy? Not really but I wasn't expecting that. If this and Mene are indicators of how the new album will sound, it's gonna be a jammin' record.

I'm more than down for a simple record. Although I like At the Bottom more than mene and this song I really think a more accessible album makes sense at this point

I don't think this album is going to be more accessible given the circumstances. I think if it is indeed the end of Brand New, fuck it, go full out and do a Daisy, do something mad.

 

The bridge of Not the Sun is my favorite thing Brand New has ever done, lyrically and musically.

This is the first song in a long, long, long, time that Brand New has released that didn't grab me after pressing play. Any band could do this song.

I think this is just...mundane. A regression, imo. This just makes me scared that their "last album" is going to be mediocre. I hope that's not true.

The song itself......from the guitars, to the sound, the structure, the lyrics, the drums, etc. It's all straight forward as fuck. Feels phoned in.
