Just a reminder that "The Winds of Winter" is also upcoming...

 

i think when most people hear the word "album" they're expecting an 8-12 track release
gonna be a lot of disappointed people here if it ends up being 4 or 5. not that they should be

 

Alright on second listen the song has grown on me a bit already, that's good.

I wouldn't be disappointed whatsoever in an EP but I also do not see them releasing an EP.

 

'will be available during the Brand New-Modest Mouse summer tour at the traveling P!MT record store.' - Answers the question earlier that somehow asked about it being available on tour.

 

Definitely think it's going to end up being a 6 song EP.

 

It almost reminds me of YFW-era Brand New, except the vocals, and more "rock" than "pop." Very surprised by the song. Main hook has a "Quiet Things" tone / rhythm. I like it, though.

 

I like the song, but if they put a whole record out with this sound I would be a little disappointed, I would miss the dynamic rock approach that they started with devil and god and continued with daisy. we will see though

Yeah, but it's like how Archers was the most straightforward of the song of TDAG and it still works. That's how I see this.

 

If it doesn't, and I am a Nightmare is their first single from the new album, I wont have high hopes at all. This reminds me a lot of Bored to Death, just massively underwhelming. But to each their own.

 

Speaking of "Archers," I still think that hook (as well as "Not the Sun") is extremely catchy and I don't think this chorus being super repetitive put it above those in the "catchiest thing they've written since Deja" category.

 

Yes. I think Mene opens the album and this is just one of the more straightforward songs.

 

Yea if this is a archers type song that is fine by me...
