I like it. Yeah it's a little poppy and "generic" but I never needed them to keep up the Daisy sound. The little riff is fun, it's dancy, and i absolutely love the lyrics to the verses and bridge.

 

Don't worry guys, its a typo and he meant to say DBZ Abridged, which is one of the best things on the internet. Shortened and super funny while still keeping the story beats the same.

 

DBZ Abridged is cool, but I feel you won't get half the jokes if you haven't seen the show. I do agree with @Mister Lyrical

I still listen to it every now and then while giving my kids a bath.

 

IAAN and Bed are probably my least favorite Brand New songs tbh. IAAN has an edge though because it's fun musically, but the chorus falls really flat

 

I like the start of IAAN, even the first verse, but it kind of just falls apart and gets messy after that.

Hmmm, that is a good point. I still stand by it being the best version any DBZ out there, but since a lot of the jokes are a parody of the show I agree that it would be lost on people who aren't familiar with the story.

1996 vs. I Am A Nightmare was a pretty easy one for me. Although, the more I listen to it I have come around to liking I Am A Nightmare for what it is. I like the delivery of verses and the intro and outro instrumentation. I just think the chorus is pretty bad.

For Out Of Range vs. Sealed To Me, both of the songs are pretty even for me. I'll go with the song that's been properly released.

I'm sure aloC-acoC will win over Moshi Moshi, but I like Moshi Moshi (particularly acoustic versions) and I think that aloC-acoC is a poor man's version of Brother's Song. I'd rather listen to Brother's Song 100 times out of 100.

Nobody Moves vs. Flying At Tree Level was another easy one. I think that Nobody Moves is probably the strongest track of the Leaked Demos.

Mene vs. Missing You was probably the hardest one for me this round. Mene is probably my favorite song of theirs between Daisy and Science Fiction, so I'll give it some love.

Brother's Song is either my favorite or second favorite track of the Leaked Demos (along with Nobody Moves) so I chose that over Fork and Knife, which is also a great song.

I wish that I could vote for Missing You and Fork And Knife to advance instead of Out Of Range and Moshi Moshi, but that's not how this game works!

 

Haha. Well it's like, I can throw it on because there's no screaming or swearing. It's mostly a mellow song and bath time is right before bed time.

 

I love all of the demos really
never really listened to IAAN until now -1996 was so goo when I first heard it and listened to it for a long time. IAAN is fine, but I really like 1996

out of range/sealed to me hadn't really listened to either until today and I think I like sealed to me better

aloC-Acoc is awesome and I love this demo version better than Brother's song.

Nobody moves is one of my favorite songs from Brand New. Flying at tree level is pretty good but nobody moves is way better.

don't like Mene very much, Missing you is good. again I listened to the demos a ton.

Fork and Knife is so good, and I like brothers demos song better than the reworked on.e

I Am A Nightmare
I'll admit that I never really put much stock in the Demos, and while I love a few of them, the 2nd verse of this song was just great for me. Never have been a huge fan of 1996, and I really enjoyed IAAN for it's lyrics alone.

Sealed To Me
This is the first time I've ever listened to this song, so I tried to find the highest quality out there, but on first listen I like it more than Out of Range, which again, I never really listened to. Lyrics on this are great as well, in that weird Jesse Lacey way.

I relate 100% to listening to stuff while giving my kids a bath...helps pass the time while doing a pretty mundane task.

Last bathtime we listened to the first 6 tracks on the new Manchester Orchestra album. Tonight is tracks 7 through 11!
