    i think these brackets are great tbh, it facilitates much more actual conversation about the bands and songs than would maybe normally happen.

    It's not technically ranking we're doing, it's tournament style matchups between songs, pitting two songs directly against each other by comparing their merits against one another. Really interesting to see the thoughts some people have about songs that you either didn't appreciate as much or have a different interpretation of. I think it's a lot more interesting than ranking as you can get way more in depth about the songs themselves instead of just saying you like something more. Collectively you end up with the same conclusion as people ranking an album but a lot more discussion and explanations for reasonings take place. I think it's fun, and enjoy rooting for a song that I love to win rounds. To each their own though.

    Different strokes for different peeps though, very cool you got the CD.
