I won't say no to a tour. I'd like to see this band at least one more time before they're done.

Don't really care about an album announcement but if we get one I'll totally freak out

 

That's where I'm at. I don't think its coming, not soon, not this year tbh. That said, if it does, I'll be super happy.

 

Have they really made enough money on past touring, etc. to be so dormant all the time? Bands like Tool, I understand they have a ton of money, but is Brand New pulling in THAT much money to take so much time off and be so inactive?

 

That's why sometimes I think they just aren't into it anymore.

I could be totally wrong but I remember reading the band as a business (not including shows) brings in 300k a year? If anyone has a better lead on data for that, much appreciated.

 

If that's true, that's more than enough to sit on. Makes me wonder if their heart just isn't in it anymore.

Well is that after cost of managers and all that? Because at the most that's 75k/person. Which is totally affordable salary, but not so much if you start dipping into that number to pay for all of the expenses they might have, even as an inactive band.

 

Depends what percentage of that is theirs to keep. Also, how much they're making on these 1 off shows. That is probably more than enough to supplement those costs.

 

I believe the band members have other jobs apart from the band.

 

They are definitely making more than $300,000 a year if you're including expenses.

I would imagine each of them make around $75-$100k a year.

 

Yeah, i'd much rather have a new album announcement than a 10th tour announced since Daisy.

Both would be great

 

I don't want Mene or I Am a Nightmare on LP5, but I will raise hell if we don't get a finished version of Sealed to Me at some point

 

I hope Sealed to Me isn't on there either. Sorry

But I'd be fine with a standalone release.

 

Also one of my favorite Brand New memories is a few years ago in my English class. I walked in and before class started, I check my phone and see that Mene had just been released. I freaked out, and my roommate who was also in my class asked me what was wrong. I told him that Brand New finally released a new song, and my professor overheard us and he began freaking out too and searched for the song right away. The whole class ended up listening to it then

 

It can be a b-side for all I care. I just want a studio version lmao
