I'm late on this, but After the Party, Rooms of the House, and Peripheral Vision are my favorite Yip records

 

I think if they did release a new album I wouldn't believe it even if I was listening to it. Which is exactly what happened to me when I downloaded Daisy and Vices started.

They blew my mind with every record they put out. YFW was my intro into the "scene." Deja added so many layers and so much depth to suburban angst, it broadened my taste in music a lot. Tdag hit me at a very transitional time in my life and it hit hard. I've never felt more from a record than with tdag. Daisy was a big, fun, and loud surprise from a band I thought couldn't possibly surprise me any more. I can't wait to see what they do next.

 

Totally forgot Yip did Rooms of the House. Easily my favorite La Dispute release.

I've been lurking since 2011, back when this was punk.com, (or whatever it was, my memory is terrible)
I am really expecting a mid/late July release.
I had a dream they released the album on July 22nd, and I just keep thinking about it

 

I started reading absolute punk in 2009. But I never came hear as often as I would have liked because I always got the name mixed up with Alternative Press lol.

 

I lurked on AP every few months since 2013 and then made an account sometime in 2015 and like not even six months later it's announced that chorus will be a thing and that AP is Dead. And I made a chorus account when someone in this thread said they had tickets to sell to Brand New / Modest Mouse show in Atlanta.

 

I found AP because I ran into Shane Told from Silverstein at a pizza restaurant before one of their shows in 2004. I asked him for a picture and he made a joke about how the news that he eats vegan pizza would be on Absolute Punk in the next 15 minutes. The next day at school I looked up the website he was talking about and quickly found a community catered to my exact taste. The site soon became the homepage of my school computer and I've kept it my homepage ever since.

So Shane Told is directly responsible for the $5 I spend here every month haha

Where are you getting that la dispute has anything to do with it? Just wishful thinking?

Listening to that Coasta EP on vinyl right now... Sad nothing more ever came of that band

 

"Young Blood" is an absolute banger.

 

The whole EP is really really good. I hate when bands put out 5 great songs then vanish

I'm disappointed in myself.

 

I tried to get this on vinyl when it came out, only for the store to mess up and it sell out. I've seen it around a few places, mostly discogs. Might get around to picking it up again. Brilliant album.

Last thing I heard of Coasta, they had a show booked for June/July THIS YEAR. And in England I think? I don't know, it's been a few months since I checked. It was listed on their bandcamp. So maybe new music is coming? Or maybe they've long since removed that listing.

 

I thought something was posted recently with them in the studio, can't remember where it was posted though. Then again, they've posted that before and nothing came from it.

 

did any of you hear my shitty luca demo edit from back when i wasnt nearly as good of a producer as i am now? 2014 i think? well i found it today as i added some of my older stuff to my bandcamp and now im going to subject you all to this whackness. ignore the drake pic its the album art for my remix/edit collection on bandcamp because i remixed a drake song thats on there too and wanted a goofy drake pic as the album art for the remix album

 

I didn't like Rooms of The House barring Woman (Reading) and Objects in Space. Loved Thirteen too. That's the kind of stuff La Dispute do best imo, leave the post-hardcore behind thank you.
