Yooo this sent me down a rabbit hole and I found the singer has an even newer band, with two AMAZING music videos

 

One day out and I missed a lot of recs hopefully I can catch up over the weekend ha

 

Thinking I'm going to be super college and play Jude Law at my uni's open mic tonight. I'm too old and mature for Soco

 

If anything, I'd probably play Soco personally. Your Favorite Weapon as a whole isn't the most mature record, but Soco has aged into a song about reminiscing the innocence of one's formative years.

I mean, I'd rather sing that than bitter songs towards Jesse's ex. A lot of lines on that record rub me the wrong way, especially on Jude Law and Seventy Times Seven.

 

What rubs you the wrong way in Seventy times Seven?

 

Well, it's the same sort of malice that's in Jude Law, just directed at a guy

 

I'm not a fan of violent lyricism. I'm more of a sucker for the drink-my-sorrows away kind of coping.

Am I right in thinking we've heard nothing Brand New related since they finished up in Europe last year? No festival dates scheduled, no whispers etc?

Speaking of not knowing Brand New, I heard someone describe Daisy as "basically/borderline post-metal" and I just stared

One of the songs popped up on my extremely big shuffle of saved songs when I wanted to listen to music and didnt have enough time for an album! Gonna check it out for sure.

 

but then Tiny Vessels came on a bit after so later in the day when I did have time for an album, I ended up listening to Transatlanticism...
