oh I remember someone on AP did a staff write up on them and I found them through that (was it @Aaron Mook ?) Really great band, hope to see a full length at some point

@DejaMoi 's avatar is a band called Lifestory: Monologue that could be a RIYL brand new. Especially musically speaking. The only thing that can be harder to get into with that band is the vocal delivery at times. I wouldn't say the vocal delivery is like mewithoutYou a lot, BUT if youre a fan of like La Dispute, Brand New, and mewithoutYou then you should check out Lifestory: Monologues album "Drag Your White Fur - Make it Grey"

Well this sounds like my next favorite thing

 

It's an awesome album. I could see the vocals being a tad grating for some, but I love that album

 

Yeah their second ep was such an improvement on the first also really hope we get a full length at some point. And I'm relistening to them for the first time in awhile. Man this is RIYL Microwave wow big time.

 

Nathan from microwave used to play guitar for these guys if I'm not mistaken. That ep is pretty rad

 

If its anything like mwY or La Dispute than I am down. I'm always fighting people about La Disputes vocals whenever I go to a Thrice show (since they are like Thrice's resident openers lately) cause my friends can't stand them and complain about them constantly. It takes getting used to for sure.

Ah ok well that makes sense. But it sounds just like him insanely similar. Never realized before but I also didn't know about Microwave as much. Going back and listening now that's all I can think about.

 

Was just about to rec Young and Heartless. Just got the Stay Away vinyl the other day. Dudes are crazy underappreciated- Hopeless really needs to up their promo on them.

 

I totally forgot that album even came out (still haven't listened, oops). So, haha, yeah I agree for sure. They're great

Listen to this on Apple Music. I randomly discovered it recently and thought it was that other Roam band. After doing a lot of digging I found out that it's a band that was called Roam then changed their name to When in Roam and are now known as Reika lol anyways it's pretty good stuff.

And their stuff as Reika:

 

Ivadell is on an awesome label (Broken Circles) that puts out music by a bunch bands I'm pretty sure everyone in here will love. Bandit, Glower, Slow & Steady, Adjy

 

I think I'm just gonna recommend literally every artist currently on Triple Crown- they're absolutely killing it with their signings at the moment and every band has one aspect of Brand New's music in one way or another in it.

 

Free Throw is a great recent signing.
