In a perfect world it would have been. I wonder if they remember saying that at all. I remember being annoyed with the statement at the time. If i only knew how I'd be feeling 8 years later!

What does the future hold for Brand New?
“We’re working it out, there is a lot of talk about it at the moment about what we do in future with regards to putting out records and whether we stay on our label and we’re in limbo right now trying to work it all out. We’re talking about recording another album but we don’t know whether it’s going to come out on a label or whether we just release songs in batches. Everything is up in the air at the moment but we’re not just going to be slacking and hanging out, we will start working pretty soon.”

How do you see it panning out?
“We really have no idea. I don’t know if there’s a point to releasing records if they’re not physical releases, if we're going to release a lot of things digitally then I don’t see why we couldn’t release a song a week or a song a month or just put out what we like from whenever we record. I think that might work out but we’ll see what happens.”

 

Yeah this is exactly what I was mentioning above! I'd say it hasn't worked out as planned haha

real talk though, if it was a consistent schedule, i wouldn't mind that kind of thing. i'd just wait then. it'd be like what animal flag or sheer mag did

 

A song a year if we're lucky.

 

It would be interesting to see an already established band do a song a month and then put it all together at the end of the year into a record

Just because of the way I listen to music I'd much prefer getting songs in groups, whether that's an EP or LP. I always listen to songs way more when they're with other songs. I never listen to singles a whole lot until an album is out, usually.

Just a Canadian tour... Twice

 

Tour in Kennedy's backyard, 10 shows, 10 nights in a row, playing all of their material, both released and unreleased.

Oh, and The Hotelier is the opening band every night of the tour.

 

I would do my bachelor party at that tour 100 percent

Funnily enough... at The Hotelier show tonight haha

 

It would be really cool if we organized something like that on here maybe for a smaller band

 

That would be sweet! I'd be so game for that. Also is anyone gonna try and travel to their very last show?
