If you're not a fan of their more "generic" (I love it, but I kind of get the label) stuff, everyone should give their other stuff more of a whirl;

 

I think there's a few who would disagree but I think "Milky" sounds somewhat like a Daisy track too.

sooooo am I the only one who just realized there's a voicemail from Mike Sapone at the end of Limousine? And that's the MS Rebridge?

Can't believe I've listened to this album for a decade and am just figuring this out.

Ms rebridge means millstone rebridge bc it uses the same chords

pretty sure the lyric book confirms its millstone... also topically I believe the two songs are related.. especially in the bridge when in the lyric book it says "things that were heard at the accident scene" or whatever i don't have it in front of me

I want people to keep talking about the MS rebridge and such because I guess I'm especially clueless.

 

I don't know if I'm deaf or what, but I def (lol puns) don't hear the explosions

 

lol lyric book just says millstone rebridge and then it says the same chords as millstone just changed up, also believe this is addressed in the sound and story podcast

 

They're fairly low in the mix. Originally they were fairly loud when Mike Sapone put them in until the band told him to lower their presence. Sapone's idea for the explosions is the voicemail tacked on at the end of the song.

For some reason I remember them being louder in the vinyl mastering of the record? Anyone with a copy care to comment?

 

And all this time I thought MS = Mike Sapone. If it was his idea (or whatever) to incorporate the chords etc. from Millstone, surely it still works being his 'rebridge', no?

 

Honestly didn't realize the two songs had the same chord progression...now I need to go listen for it

 

Somehow stumbled onto the "most critical" section of the itunes reviews to TDAG

People calling them sellouts and saying it sounds like "everything else out there". I kinda forgot those where the go-to complaints of the time for people who didn't know how to think critically.
