I'm still naively hoping that maybe Brand New will play TDAG in full during their Biffy support slot. Or at the very least play a new song. Both seem incredibly unlikely. Only a fortnight or so until I find out haha.

 

I'm seeing them tonight with Biffy. Will report back.

Ahaaa damn! Not expecting anything but I can remain hopeful. My show isn't til the 7th but oh man am I excited.

 

I'm seeing them next Friday and at the Birmingham show on the 7th. It's really surprised me how quickly this has snuck up on me, hopefully we get some positive news from the Dublin show tomorrow!

 

I can't see us getting any news.

I think the biggest piece of news we'll get out of this tour, if any, is new merch.

I mean even though we all know this year is not THE year, I still wish Brand New was releasing a new album this year. I think it would have been cool to get a late fall/early winter end of the year release.

 

Would've dug another EP, either new/scrapped stuff or more redone demos.

 

Yeah that would of been great too. Perfect to tide fans over. Hopefully once they hang it up we get a bsides/rarities compilation. Doubt it but I can dream right?

 

I feel like a bsides and rarities comp is unlikely unless it's solely or mostly new material. Like for the most part, every bside and rarity they've got that they intended to put out is available and in print in some official capacity. I think probably the only stuff that isn't readily available is that Holiday EP and idk, who's clamoring for that? Jesse's love for the Smiths aside, I don't see them following in those particular footsteps. If it's mostly new/unreleased material though, I see that happening after the band is dead though

 

When's the Brand New ep going to be on there?

I'd happily take that album in full over them playing any other songs at all. As much as I want them to be playing it, would they not have advertised it on the tour flyers? I hope I'm wrong haha.
