You Stole is one of their best tracks.

i dont know if you stole would be below some of the worse YFW cuts (all of them besides no seatbelt, soco, and mixtape) but its definitely among my absolute least favorite brand new tracks.

I like ranking their b sides more than regular songs just because the b sides are wildly good and because I don't hate any Brand New song but I love every b side, minus my nine rides shotgun bc I've literally never heard it. Also Daisy's worst lyric does not put it below or on the same level to YFW, that does not make any goddamn sense. A clumsy lyric vs like misogyny idk doesn't compare to me. That being said I listened to YFW today because of the birthday and it holds up better than I give it credit for, even if it's my least favorite

why haven't you heard My Nine, but you have heard every single other song?

I don't think I could ever possibly rank all their songs because there are way too many close calls and it really depends what kind of mood I'm in but I feel comfortable with putting You Won't Know and Limousine as my two all-time favorite BN songs. And honestly, even those flip flop all the time.

This is where I stand as well, although if I had to pick a favorite, gun to my head, my answer would almost always be You Won't Know.

I'd probably say You Won't Know too, especially because it's probably my favorite live song from them as well. I love hearing both live, but the jams during You Won't Know in the middle and the end are too good live.

Although this last tour with Modest Mouse they took Limousine up a notch live.

Yeah You Won't Know live is otherworldly. Thinking about seeing them play it again in just under 2 weeks makes me giddy, haha.

it just wasn't on any release I downloaded and I never sought it out, I might be missing some other YFW era b side that I don't know about if that came packaged with anything

This is the only artist I could even attempt ranking songs for. What makes it somewhat easier is having a smaller catalog compared to other artists that release(d) new material on a regular basis. I've listened to their songs hundreds, if not thousands, of times at this point.

I think there is a lot of fact here mixed with a few theories. Once you get past the whole history of emo sort of thing it's pretty cool.

Honestly I'm not sure if there is much on here you wouldn't know. But it's probably worth listening to just in case. I didn't know much about Sherri or anything like that so that little bit of history was interesting to me. I'm sure if you've really sought out the info his podcast presents you could find it but I think it was well done and it does the album justice
