I left early when I saw Foxing and TTNG. TWIABP was the headliner and I really don't like them so I left before their set. Other than that I've never done it.

 

Yup. Killer show, just never listened to the menzingers. was kind of interesting they got the headline.

 

I'm still pissed at myself that I missed the Pianos/MWY/Menzingers tour. Two top ten bands and another top 20 for me. I will never get over it.

 

Yeah I was shocked mwY wasn't headlining it. Really was a killer show. I even enjoyed Restorations set quite a bit

 

In 2009, me and three friends drove from Cleveland to Long Island to see the Brand New/Glassjaw/Thrice/Manchester Orchestra/Kevin Devine show the weekend after Thanksgiving and two of my friends left during the Brand New set.

To this day, I'm still trying to figure out why, after a 9-hour drive, they did that?

Should be noted, that the 2 people I speak of aren't/weren't very close friends, but my very good friend and I knew they were going so we all decided to drive together and get a hotel together for the weekend since it was a long and expensive trip.

 

I was at that show. It was right after Daisy came out. I recall the set feeling like a drag because many people weren't familiar with the album yet and they played a bunch of songs off of Daisy

 

Daisy had been out for more than 2 months at that point (Daisy came out on Sept. 22, Long Island show was late November). I actually was at the first show of that tour too, which was a week after Daisy came out in Cleveland. Both sets were exactly the same only they closed with 70x7 at the Long Island date.

 

Still pretty new. Maybe it seemed like it dragged because it was Daisy songs in Nassau Colliseum. I mean I didn't leave for Brand New that night.

 

I was there too. It was a great show.

 

I mean, almost ALL bands/artists will tour within a few weeks to a month of their new album coming out. That's the point of touring, to support a new album.

Giving fans 2+ months with a new album is plenty of time.

 

Alright dude I'm just trying to figure out why your two friends left. It was a pretty good show

 

I left for Say Anything after MO opened. They're not my jam.

I *tried* to leave after I saw City and Colour because I didn't fancy being roughed up in a Biffy crowd. I was front row however. I was going nowhere. Biffy were brilliant. And I still don't particularly like them - just not my thing. They're bloody good live, I'll admit that though.
With this coming UK tour my friend has specifically said she wants to leave after Brand New, so that one of the last times we see our favourite band isn't forgotten in a blur of Biffy. I get it, and I may well leave. I've just never done that before. Plus I've got insane seats that a Biffy fan can take in my place.

 

Has anyone going to the Grand Rapids show received their tickets yet?

 

I received an email containing my tickets weeks ago. I didn't have an option to have them mailed to me though.
