Laughable that we didn't get the summer single or any news about whats happening/their plans for the rest of the year. Sorry I had to say it. Sidenote so much good music has come out this year so its whatevs.

 

I can't really be mad or disappointed with this band, it's more just like I become steadily less interested in them the more they are shitty with their fans.

 

I honestly don't really have a strong opinion on not getting a single. I think it's a little silly that they said one thing and did another, but whatever, mystery and unpredictable tendencies are par for the course with this band. I truthfully can't say I'm even disappointed because all the amazing music coming out this fall overshadows the loss of new Brand New.

I don't think they are shitty to their fans, but I think in an ideal world, any band should refrain from promising new music unless they know they can deliver on it. And if they can't, some sort of acknowledgement or explanation would be nice. But I understand that that's not how these guys operate and I'm sure they did intend to release something but it just didn't fall into place like they were hoping.

I'd be cool with a triple LP. Like Thrice's thing, with different sounds and textures and whatnot, but LP length instead of EP length
I don't listen to Thrice but I'm p sure that's what that was

 

They had 4 EP's of 6 songs each. Each EP being Fire, Water, Air and Earth tones.


Maybe Brand New will do their own Alchemy Index

 

I kind of expect Brand New to finish with a kind of concise, yet still career spanning album of 10 songs.
