Can we talk about Crime in Stereo? I miss those guys.

Yo @KennedyBN , what's your favorite CIS album?

I think Is Dead is their best as a whole, but Troubled Stateside has a couple of my favorite songs by them.

 

Oh man. im always down to talk Crime In Stereo.

It would be really tough for me to pick a favorite. "Is Dead" got me into the band. I remember the first time i ever heard that album, it was at the peak of my Brand New obsession when i was younger. i was probably in like the 9th or 10th grade... anyway, it was the only album that i wouldve ever said reminded me of Deja Entendu. and at the time, that was like, a huge statement for me haha. I dont know why i got Deja vibes from it. i think sometimes the vocal harmonies remind me of Jesse's harmonies on Deja? i dno, or maybe im crazy. But i really fell in love with "Is Dead" fast.

I love the punk aspect of Troubled Stateside. But i kind of look at "I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone" like i do Thursdays "No Devolución" - the best possible album to go out on.

so for me its probably between "Is Dead" and IWTTDYTS. Its really close, real close. i dont think i could pick right now haha. However i think "Type One" could be my favorite CIS song ever.

 

I don't feel like people gave IWTTDYTS the time it needs to be fully appreciated. It's a very complete album and I love it. Their lyrics deserve to be scrawled in the margins of notebooks everywhere and it still blows my mind that they never quite blew up.

Theyre so good. such a good band. i wish we got that album that was rumored in like 2012 haha.

Anyone in this thread who doesn't listen to Crime in Stereo really needs to. Lots of BN similarities, but their sound is their own.

"Impending Glory of American Adulthood" is my favorite song of theirs, followed closely by "XXXX."

 

We like a lot of the same stuff, never listened to this band but WILL check this out

 

Is Dead is definitely my favorite, but Troubled Stateside and IWTTDYTS are both excellent albums and are tied for second place for me.

I'm probably alone on this, but over time Nixon has become my favorite CIS song. Whenever I'm in the mood to listen to them, it's always the first song I play.

 

Selective Wreckage is my favorite b sides album ever. The story behind "Four X's" makes it even better.

 

I think you'll love them. like John said, i think anyone who loves Brand New would love Crime In Stereo.

 

Yeah Crime In Stereo are incredible and their last two albums are easily their best two. Love them.

 

I tried to get into Crime In Stereo before the Daisy Tour, but just couldn't get them to click. Thrice clicked though. Thrice clicked hard.

There last couple records are way less "punk" than their album "Trouble Stateside". Listen go to "is dead" first!

 

Crime in Stereo are so good. I really hope they finally put out that new album, eventually..

 

I don't know who I'd be most surprised about getting a new album from... CIS, Glassjaw, or Brand new lol.

Yeah, whatever happened to that CIS record? I was somewhat hopeful about that...more so than new GJ or BN.

Yeah, but I thought around November or December of last year it would be out sometime this year. Although they have made similar promises throughout in 2013 and 2014 that it would be out in the near future.

 

I feel like this conversation is synonymous with Brand New conversation.

 

Yeah for both no news is def not good news. Ah well wtv maybe one day.

Yeah its funny to think about BN, GJ and CIS. Once they all release new material they should all tour together again. Could call it: We're back! The better late than never tour pt2.
