Once they walk off-stage for the last time, it's going to be mad. People will be stood there, waiting just in case. But they won't come back out. Man. I'd fucking kill to be at the last show. You guys had trouble getting pre-sale tickets for this tour...imagine the hell that will be the last tour, and the last show. Hell, if I have the money I'll be flying over for it.

The final song played at a Brand New concert will be a Nickelback, Creed, or P.O.D. cover by Thrice.

 

when the time comes, if their last show is like - known to be their last show, it will be a really special night. Just knowing the influence this band has had on this scene.
A friend and I were talking the other day. We both love watching Audiotree live recordings as I'm sure lots of us on here do. My buddy pointed out "man it seems like every other band on Audiotree mentions something about Brand New"... Obviously every other band is an exaggeration, but the point is, their influence and how much it's spread can't be denied. They're such a respected group. I also wonder how many other bands we love, would be in attendance at their last show. Bands like mewithoutYou, Thrice, Kevin Devine. I bet all those bands are in attendance unless they can't because of their own touring. Ideally some of those bands are on stage with them for that moment.

Anyway, kind of a beautiful thought, imagining the death of this band.

Nah, final show = Shone playing a 2 hour set, followed by 303H!, then a 3 song set by Brad Nu.

I'm going to accept the fact right now that I will never witness that in the flesh haha, based on where I live

 

It will be interesting to see what new projects come from BN breaking up.

 

I've already planned on attending the last show ever. Wherever, whenever. I assume it'll be at Nassau Coliseum or MSG. Either way, I'll be making the trip out.

Probably nothing.

 

I am positive this won't happen, but I would kill if there was a Brand New acoustic / Jesse Lacey solo tour like they used to do in the Devil and God to Daisy eras. I love the videos from those, and I wasn't aware of or old enough to go back then.

 

Casual stuff and videos like the above are so cool to me, it just seems like a fun time all around

Another 2-day fest at Ommegang for their final shows isn't reaching. A, they mentioned a return, and B, they love that place to death. Jesse never seemed happier last time with Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine. Talked onstage briefly about how he hadn't had a night that nice in a long time, how much of a blessing it was to be able to play baseball with his friends behind the stage right before going on, and then how he wished that weekend would never end. Dude was beaming.
