Yeah, front row too. Incredible night. Tickets were the hardest I've ever got, second to AOF's farewell London shows.
Last show was at the O2 in 2012, so makes a bit of a change. Such a great show. I was tempted to go to Sheffield but decided against it.

Oh man I was at that show too! The O2 academy in Birmingham? I was seated for that one. I didn't get to see them in 2014 because they skipped Birmingham. Only show I could've maybe gone to was Southampton because I went to uni in Winchester, but it would've been an arm and a leg to get down there and apparently my mate said there were tons of sound issues that night. I did think about Sheffield too but again, I was a brassic student.
Seeing them at the Glee Club was like one of the greatest nights of my life.

That's the one! First brand new show. One row from the front. If there's anyone to queue up early for its brand new!
Still yet to hear Limousine though. They never play it when I go haha!
I just hope they don't play London and that's it...

That was my first show too! I wanted to go standing but I was going with a girl I liked and I'm a scrawny guy with glasses - I figured getting murdered on a 'date' of sorts wouldn't have looked great hahaha. I queued up early for the Glee Club and accidentally sat at the front of the line. Boy, did I get some looks. All it took was for someone to say 'this is the front', but instead I had to work it out on my own haha.
Oh my god yeah, they played Limousine and Sealed To Me at Ally Pally. Cannot believe I missed out on that.
Yeah I'm praying it's a pretty substantial UK tour. Lately so many bands have just not even acknowledged Birmingham or even the Midlands and it makes absolutely no sense to me. Like, The 1975 for example...they're touring in Bournemouth but not Birmingham? The fuck?!

Ended up getting lucky after 15 minutes and landed 2 floor tickets for South Carolina. Making the trip from Orlando!

For the Glee Club, I started queueing near the door until someone told me the line started way back round the building! Haha
Yet when someone shouted 'Sealed to Me' Jesse said he forgot how to play it... Sureee...
Then again, The 1975 did play Birmingham back in March. I hope they don't do a smaller places tour and the subsequently miss out the Midlands.

I'm happy that the CT date is less than an hour drive, and it's in the suburbs basically

Exactly the same happened with me yeah, I'd never been to the Glee Club before. Oh man yeah, he was like 'Let you in on a little secret - I can't remember the lyrics. Don't tell the Americans but I had the lyrics on the floor in front of me and I was reading off those the entire time'. Was gutted at that, but then again we got the full band version of Brothers as it is now so that was pretty cool. Plus that extended Soco was ace. I got the setlist from that show, but the guy who pulled it from the stage ripped off the first two songs by accident, so it's missing Mene and Sink.
Ah yeah, I was just bummed because 1975 are playing songs like Undo and Haunt//Bed which are some of my favourites by them. From the looks of it, it's going to be like this whole chillwave artistic experience and I don't get to be a part of it now!

I didn't even know where the Glee Club was haha! That was pretty funny, but still, could tried to play it!
So jealous of that! Only have a Gaslight Anthem set list so far...
Did you see them when they played in March?

I know right! Whenever I went to Birmingham my mates would park there and it'd be right above my head. Had no idea it was just off that car park! Yeah, I mean even if he couldn't remember the lyrics, I would've lost my shit if he just stood there playing the chords or whatever.
Ah see my friend would die for a Gaslight setlist :') I used to collect them. Got loads in a folder somewhere in my room.
I did yeah, at Leicester. Such a good venue because you had a perfect view from any spot on the floor and it was still relatively small. I was front row and we decided to step out and chill by the back. Anywhere else they would've looked like ants.

  13. Finally got tickets to Birmingham. Towards the front of the balcony after fucking around and losing mid-mezzanine seats. Glad that's over with.

I studied there for three years and didn't know where it was!
Exactly, that's what I thought too. Just let the crowd sing it. It was small enough to do that tbh.
First time seeing TGA too, and grabbed that. Not particularly easy to get.
For bands who 'put on a show', sometimes the seats or a bit further back is best as it allows you to experience the show, whereas being at the barrier only allows you to see the band. This was similar to BMTH, being a bit further back allowed me to experience everything.

that makes me feel like they aren't making any for the other albums. although i can't imagine how they'd release special versions for those albums aside from pairing with a re-release or something. maybe they'll just do cheap versions

I was at Glee Club front row and went to the Sheffield date around the Ally Pally show. But I've followed them around since 2003, so I feel a duty to it now. I feel luckily Brand New have always been to Birmingham despite promoters and newer bands apparently finding it not credible. There's an amazing up and coming scene in this city at the moment, I'm really excited by it.
