Trying to convince my wife to come with, but really, I need to know if I'm putting one or two tickets in my cart.

 

thinking about potentially altering my vacation start time depending on some of these dates...always wanted to follow them around for a couple of dates and this is probably one of my last chances to do so.

 

Wasn't the rumor Mo Bo and another band. Didn't think TFB would be the other band.

 

I made a rip of Play Crack the Sky(Ft Andy Hull), IAAN, and You Wont Know from Atlanta broken down into tracks that I think that sounds pretty good. PCTS into IAAN contains a gap, but IAAN into YWN is seemless. Sounds better(IMO) than the black and white vids from the Merriweather pavilion.

Also the 3 reworked demos / official release of "Out of Range". I'm assuming you already know about that though.

 

I knew the demos gut physical release, but didn't realize they got reworked. Are they appreciably different?

 

sure are! tweaks that really elevate the songs for a lot of people it seems

Whoah. Not sure I'm ready for a full band of that. I remember everyone dissecting that song to an insane degree 6 years ago in those Brand New chat threads. Looooong time ago.

 

It turned out really well! I still prefer the demo because of the way Jesse sings the word "lions" is better.

There's lots of fun guitar on "1996."

oh and they added a bridge to "missing you"

 

The fans at a Brand New, Modern Baseball, and Front Bottoms show would be an absolute nightmare.

Meh. People say that about every show they go to. Don't let the people in the crowd define what's going on on stage. I get it - yeah - sometimes if it's actually that bad, then it could define the concert expirience. But you know what, I really don't think that's the case 90% of the time that people complain about "bands having the worst fans".

I guess that's the kind of stuff im talking about, like that is not okay. I dno, sometimes I just feel like no matter what show were talking about, we talk about how lame the fans are... But why? We're fans too, why are we better. And I should've done a better job at specifying and clarifying that I am not talking about violence / people getting hurt. Because that shouldn't be tolerated

 

Because you can't ignore that certain bands/genres have certain types of fans.

Like I would never let an audience prevent me from going to a show. But if someone doesn't want to go to a show because the audience tends to act a certain way, I get that. For example, if they don't want to go to a band like All time Low because the audience is mostly teenage girls throwing bras on stage etc.

 

Yeah, I wasn't trying to disprove you so much as I was trying to qualify why I made the statement I made. I agree with and see what you're saying, but I've gotten kicked in the face or otherwise injured by a crowd surfer at all those shows. I don't really mind it anymore, but now that I wear glasses I'm a little wary of having to replace them etc. I don't usually color fans with a broad brush or anything because I am one of those fans, but it's just from past experience at these particular shows.

The crowd moshes for Deja and YFW, then mostly headbangs for Devil and Daisy. Both moods are cool, I can see why someone's not a fan of crowdsurfing and moshing but this band came out of the hardcore scene where that kind of interaction is a staple.
