I'd actually be stunned if this came anywhere within 5-6 hours of Cleveland seeing as they've played Cleveland, Columbus (twice), Cincinatti and Pittsburgh (twice) all within the past 3 years.
See my above post, but if it's early enough (like mid to late September) I guess they could still play Nautica. They played an outdoor show at Tower City (now closed) on October 1 in 2009. I remember it was pretty cold. I feel Wolfstein Center would be too big and all the other venues around here would be too small. Nautica would be the perfect size. That said, I don't think they come to Cleveland.
I miss Tower City! I'm not sure if it was actually a good venue but so many of my first concerts were there.
Yeah, like you said they were at Nautica pretty recently so I don't think they come back. I remember that show at Tower City! Kind of weird having an outdoor show in October. Back at the end of 2007 they played back-to-back nights at the HOB with Thrice and mewithoutYou. Obviously, HOB is way to small for this tour, but I guess Brand New can do whatever they want.
Yeah, I miss it too. I used to work on West 3rd and would park either in the Tower City lot or down in the flats, so it was really convenient for me to just stay after work and already practically be at the venue. I remember seeing a good amount of shows there though...Rise Against a couple times (with Rancid and Riverboat Gamblers once and then Thrice, Alkaline Trio and Gaslight Anthem another time), Incubus, Brand New/Manchester Orchestra, Primus/Gogol Bordello, Stone Temple Pilots/Cage the Elephant, The Fray, The Killers, Sounds of the Underground Tour...lots of good memories there.
No idea who the opening bands are. Really wish they would've gone with Manchester Orchestra / Glassjaw / Thrice line up like they did a few years back.
Remember seeing Warped Tour at Tower City in 2003 and 2004, Xfest (Which was supposed to have The Used, but Bert was hospitalized the day before), Brand New/MO, Stone Temple Pilots. Wasn't my favorite venue but a decent outdoor place for a show. I like Nautica a lot more.
I like Nautica a lot more too. From what I recall, Tower City Amphitheater was closed because that was going to be the site for the casino but that never ended up happening. I'm not sure if there are any plans for that land now or not.
I loved Tower City Amphitheater. Warped was so much better there than Blossom. I could see it hitting Nautica in October but BN also played there last summer so I agree with you guys I doubt it'll come to Cleveland. All three have played Ohio this year so I could see it skipping over Ohio completely
