Wow, didn't realize they were still around here. I used to love their Batch 81 (or 83?) sauce. Man, I miss that.

A Pita Pit just opened up in Mentor. Haven't had Pita Pit in 10+ years so looking forward to going soon. Jimmy John's opened up within the past year too. I had a job interview years ago in Solon and saw a Jimmy Johns and I wasn't even hungry but I went in there and ate a sub just because I hadn't had one since college.

 

I'm definitely the wrong guy to ask. I'm not a fan of real thick or stuffed sandwiches. I remember trying to go to Melt in Lakewood 6 or 7 years ago and it was always impossible to get a table. When it opened up in Mentor, I finally had it for the first time. I thought it was OK, but never had any desire to go back. I think I just had a bacon and egg cheese sandwich.

People are really obsessed with it though.

 

This one near me in Akron is the only one that I know in the area. There are actually a few decent places within a short walk of where I'm at. There's a Pita Pit and Jimmy John's probably about a 10 minute walk from my office.

I remember going down to BG a couple times in college with some friends to get Pita Pit. I like it and everything, but I don't know if it's worth going out of your way for now. We were just bored college kids back then

Funny, I told my wife that there's no way I'd enjoy Pita Pit as much now as I did in college. I'm not even sure if I've ever had it sober.

You ever go to Mr. Spots in BG? Another great cheesesteak place. Everyone was obsessed with Pollyeyes in BG (stuffed breadsticks place) but I never cared for it.

I used to go to the one in Mentor all the time when my wife and I lived in the area, but we haven't been there in over a year probably. I still want to try the challenge some day though (The Melt Challenge - Melt Bar and Grilled)

I think it's pretty good, but then again I'm a big fan of cheese and big sandwiches.

They have a pretty nice bar area too.

An Akron location opened up and there's one in Independence so I should try to get to one sooner than later

I'm sad to say that I am not familiar with either of those places :/

 

I believe that goes for 90% of users here! haha

 

Speaking of food, at the festival I just went to over the weekend I had a burger with fried mac n cheese for buns and it was phenomenal

I'm running on 5 hours of sleep for the second time this week but at least I have a SNES classic in my hands

 

There is so much winning in this post, I don't know where to start

 

Let me know how it is! I got the NES classic last year and I love it.

The new TWIABP record is so good! I recommend it to everyone

 

But that's a completely different type of restaurant than we are talking about jeeze, Chik-fil-a is comparable to noodles, chipotle, or Panera
