Fun fact: I call French Canadian companies a lot for work. Unless I say Salut instead of Hi when someone answers I frequently get hung up on haha

 

I took a semester of French in 9th grade :)

 

Fun fact: I can't remember the tune of Yankee Doodle without help. I end up singing the right words but to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down.

 

Some of my family in Montreal will sometimes say Bonjour but in a bye bye context yeah it can be confusing sometimes lol

 

Haha I just figured they didn't want to talk to me if I just went in with English first. My success rate of actually talking to the person I need to talk to goes up drastically if I attempt French haha.

I have spent my life going to bat for Chili's. It's the best mid-level dining experience for middle class suburban Americans there is! Chilis > Olive Garden, Red Lobster, TGI Fridays, and definitely > Applebees.

I don't want to tell you guys how many times I've had this debate.

 

Cheesecake Factory >>>>

 

Yard House > Cheesecake Factory > Red Lobster > TGI Fridays > Olive Garden (dunno if I have actually ever been > Applebees = Chillis

 

Ok but Cheesecake Factory is in it's own little category between those restaurants and actually nice restaurants. It's closer to a Maggianos than Chili's. My family would go to Chili's on a casual Saturday night. Cheesecake would be for like an event.

Also I don't like the Cheesecake factory's food, just their cheesecake. I prefer a restaurant that knows it's identity and does it well, cheesecake factory just gives you every type of food in the world. It takes me like 3 hours just to decide which overpriced meal I want.

 

And I have no idea what Yard House is. Never heard of it.

While we're at it, Wingstop is easily my favorite of the major wing chains

Just today, two large seasoned fries, 20 wings, 2 dips, 2 drinks... 20 bucks

Plus it tastes the best imo

 

One of these days I'll try Wingstop. Always hear good things, but I've never been.

I'm really bad about just going to my usual places, unless I go out to lunch with coworkers and they pick the restaurant. Kind of weird because I'm not a picky eater at all. Except tomatoes and mushrooms. Keep that shit away from me.
