Haven't heard them. I just finished the EP it's good but tbh I find it to be a little over dramatic at times for my taste

 

Totally random, but my tickets for both Manchester Orchestra and Brand New arrived in the post today. Even though the shows are almost a month apart! Pretty spooky.

 

For those of you with tattoos. How do you go about finding a good artist to do yours?

 

Based on friends with tattoos recommendations. Also, make sure you look at their portfolios. Some artists are better at drawing certain types of things. So it definitely depends on WHAT you want.

Not sure what or how many you have but you got any recs for artists around us who do good photo/realism type work?

 

Unfortunately I don't have many real life friends with tattoos.

 

I’ve spent a lot of time googling shops around me and just going through the portfolios on their websites. Doesn’t really give you much insight on reputation or anything like that but it puts some names in your head.

 

My tattoo artist actually died, Bryssa. :( She was at Extreme Graphix. Brian from Extreme Graphix is really talented, and Thor from Divine Chaos as well. He used to be at Extreme Graphix.

What are you getting?

 

I do that too and then I try and find their Instagram and also check any reviews on Yelp. So far I haven’t been to an artist who hasn’t already worked on someone I know though

 

I will look into those, thanks. Wanna get a half sleeve or something centered around the define the great line alternative artwork, like my banner. Not a photo persè but I’m a big fan of realism.

 

Ooh I didn’t think of instagram. That sounds like a splendid idea.

 

My next tattoo is going to be black Times New Romans fghtffyrdmns, letters stacked into box and squared off with a thin red border. Been on the fence about it due to the cliche nature, but hey. That shouldn't stop you. Tattoo artists' line work around here sucks though, and I want that border to look painfully symmetrical.

 

My only tattoo now is a rose and I worried about cliche-ness a bit but I’ve had it for 8 years and still love looking at it, and that’s all you can ask of it
