I don't think The Wonder Years will ever click with me. Well sadly still not now. It didn't change with this EP. I enjoy it but I don't know what it is, it's just one of those bands that are middle of the pack for me.

 

Yeah, they only supported Biffy Clyro last year. Kind of a slap in the face after numerous US tours playing TDAG in full! So very relieved they’re playing here. But again, only for two dates. Which isn’t daft also. But I’ll take what I can get paha.
I think they supported once before, not sure they’d repeat supports? But who knows!

No not yet! I just pressed play on the new Circa basically at the same exact time as you. I really need to check that one out. Let me know what it's like once you played. Heard the new Circa yet? See my post above about bands that never clicked with me although I do enjoy Circa more than The Wonder Years. Pretty stoked to be seeing them on the Thrice tour. So I see myself playing this one a fair bit until I do.

 

Any guesses as to who it might be?

 

That's how I felt about them after The Upsides and Suburbia . . . but TGG really hit me, and I thought NCTH was really good too.

 

What do you think of Burst and Decay?

 

@truelovewaits this is funny because we were just talking about it this morning. I mention it today and see a colored one in the same day lol

 

I would love it to be Julien Baker or Microwave. But from what I’ve heard they’re both busy. I noticed Julien is in the UK soon though. I’ll have to check properly when I’m back but that’s potentially a good sign, as I think it wasn’t far off the UK dates.

 

I've only listened to it twice, but I enjoyed it, the first and last tracks especially. I wasn't a big fan of the original version of "Ernest Hemingway" but I think this version fits the song a lot better. And the version of "You In January" on B&D is beautiful.

The other ones are ok. I like "Coffee Eyes" and "Don't Let Me Cave In" better here than the originals, but I didn't particularly like the originals.

 

You never ended up getting a numbered cd didn't you? Still feels surreal that I did since I'm in Canada and definitely didn't expect to. Sorry I don't mean to pour salt in your wounds with this post.

 

Yeah I enjoyed the first and last tracks quite a bit. I just don't see myself going back to this release (or any of their other releases for that matter) very often sadly.

Thoughts on the new Circa?

I'm especially enjoying Rites and the last 2 tracks But yeah it's not immediate but it's definitely got enough to hook me and keep me coming back to it. So that's always a good sign.

I'm so tired today. I slept like shit. I hate Mondays. It's so damn warm out I can't believe it. Random thoughts have been shared I already feel much better now.
