Goodnight Chorus family!

 

I don't think it's as hot today as the past few days, but since it's the third day in a row it just feels hotter.

I'm putting together a playlist of new releases that I still need to listen to, and which I will get started on after my 10:30 meeting.

 

I was talked into signing up for the Akron Marathon Relay which is tomorrow. It’s in the morning but supposed to be in the low 80s with high humidity then.

I’ve made a huge mistake.

 

Oh, I was wrong. Mid 70s. That makes it a lot better

 

I ran the Towpath Marathon way back on 10/10/10.

I’m not a runner at all. I play basketball but that’s different. I feel very unprepared for tomorrow but will try to make the best of it. My workplace sponsors a team and I got roped into it last year. Did ok (for me) but haven’t trained much this year because of kids, work, etc. It’s only about 5 miles but for me that’s rough haha

 

Working at an office is great, but people bring in doughnuts and cookies and I can't help myself.



I especially like those cookies with the white things in them. Idk what they're called. I think they're called Michael Damian nuts. Idk who Michael Damien is, but his nuts are great.

Idk but I'm on my way to a heart walk fundraiser thing for work so I'm going to be walking around outside for an hour and I can't say I'm looking forward to it

Yeah, today is really stacked. Haven't had a chance to listen to anything today. Going to try to listen to some stuff this afternoon. Circa probably first.

 

I feel like most of the weddings I go to nowadays are on a Friday. I actually prefer the Friday weddings.

I got married on a Thursday...but we had a New Year's Eve wedding.

 

I'm getting married on a Friday next year. The savings was impossible to turn down, and it's still technically a weekend wedding.

 

I know for me personally, we got discounts from the venue and also a couple of the vendors (photographer, dj) for having the wedding on a Friday. Plus it gives people an extra day to recovery and makes it feel like a longer weekend, I think.

I went to listen to Circa first. Wanted to play it on their bandcamp page and hear through my work computer speakers but lame Hopeless Records on bandcamp you can't just stream the album on bandcamp:

I listened to the new QOTSA on the way into work this morning. Hard to believe it came out 4 weeks ago already!

 

Both my sisters were married there (not to each other). Did you deal with Marty? I had a previous job where I coordinated half a dozen events at LaMalfa per year and dealt with Marty all the time. Such an interesting guy.

 

Yep! We dealt with him.

He was definitely on top of things, unlike some of the other places we checked out.
