They're both watching shows thanks to my clout around here recently.



Edit: I don't know if I'm using the word "clout" correctly, but you know what I mean

 

First episode is gross and weird. Watch more than that one. Even skip first episode if you want since it's not a continuous story. Come back to it later. The series is just tooooo good just to stop after that.

Also I restarted watching the office today. Mostly background noise while I work but still. Thanks to this thread.

Man, there are some uncomfortable scenes in Atlanta.

Just finished episode 3. The scene where he’s out to dinner but doesn’t have enough money in his bank account to pay. And the drug deal scene too.

Really liking it though, on the 4th one now

 

I really want to hear that damn tape. I purchased Ok Cpu earlier in the year on vinyl so i didnt go for OKNOTOK. The tape is only with the deluxe limited edition boxset right? I could of gotten it when i was in Toronto they had it at Sonic Boom but it was so insanely expensive

 

Well I watched some random episode on Sunday because I knew the show was a new story every episode. That one was awesome.

But yeah the first episode was so dumb and so gross imo

The show does a really good job of making you relate to the characters in your situation. Like, even when Glover's character is in situations that are very specifically a black experience, you put yourself in his shoes and feel the emotion to some degree and I think that's great.

 

Yeah it's gross. I didn't think it was dumb once I understood the show a little more I saw it from a different perspective, but I could see that after the initial watch. Which was the other episode you saw?

 

I get the show is basically a think peice on how technology and social media and stuff influences human interaction. I just thought that episode was dumb.

The other one I had watched was the one where the guy gives girl advice through people's eyes and then later in the episode the subconscious is cloned and stuff. That was awesome

FYI #2 everyone should follow Theo from Gob on instragram. Also Jack Black they never fail to brighten up my day and or make me laugh

 

Yeah that one was good. Most episodes are good. And whole they may be disturbing they aren't as gross as the first one. I wonder how many potential fans of that show were turned off after that episode

 

Ah I know I'm so excited for that! I've avoided all the stuff that was released with it. Do you love yours?

 

Yeah, the tape is in the box set. There's some really cool, interesting stuff on it.

Just had a hockey game but for the Bob's people

He oversees all the new locations that are created on the show and helps out with storyboarding and what not.. he played drums in out of service in college and then moved to California about 7 years ago but we are still super close. I miss him but glad he's doing well with his career.

How do our Canadians here feel about Our Lady Peace?

 

They are ok. The song Life use to be one of my faves songs in general. Had it listed in my favorite songs section on absolute punk and everything. They have some good songs i just don't listen to them very often anymore

 

I hope I can easily find it on Spotify. Will look tomorrow!
