Post Tree of Life I've seen To The Wonder and Song to Song. I haven't seen Knight of Cups, but I own it on Bluray. When I'll actually get to watching it? Who knows.

    On my to-do list

When I was in community college, one of my English professors swore on everything that he was good friends with Darron and was supposed to be the main dude in Pi lol. I really want to believe him haha

Nocturnal Animals was not what I expected, but it was very very good. Michael Shannon is a master.

It's hilarious. I will not give anything away but there is one scene with Martin Short that had me laughing like a fool

He was brought up on a couple of lists from earlier with There Will Be Blood. I also haven't seen Inherent Vice and need to fix that. I also love that him and Radiohead have this working connection.

Yeah me too. Used to be only with Johnny but now that he has directed some videos with the band its really cool i agree. Seen Boogie Nights? The Master is one I'm glad I own.

I need to find the time to rewatch it and also this at the same time: Back Beyond (Video 2013) - IMDb

Punch Drunk Love is literally my life. I grew up with seven older sisters. They would always make fun of me whenever I had a crush on a girl. As a kid they'd call me "gay boy." It's my life.

Still never seen Boogie Nights. My wife loves it, but it's just one that I never commited to watching yet.

Fit it in this week since you're off perfect time. I think now next on tap you had TS, LC, Nightcrawler? All those ones are great late night movies and i'd add boogie nights to that list of course

I actually saw Nightcrawler the week it went to a wide release. Loved it! That movie reminded me that Jake is basically great with nearly every role, and is sometimes even perfect. I now have Jesse James, Little Children, and Take Shelter left on my immediate list. I'll add Boogie Nights.

Right Jesse James forgot about that one. Speaking of great late night movies to watch and since you watched Zodiac this week if you havent seen it I'd add Prisoners and Enemy. And last but not least we almost forgot about Husbands maybe not so much late night for that one lol. It's just a very different type of movie. All John Cassavetes movies are and thats what makes them so special and unique. Would be very curious to get your thoughts on that one.

Saw Prisoners when it first came out on home release and remember really liking it. Probably will be due for another viewing in the not too distant future. I remember hearing mixed opinions on Enemy so I think I just avoided because of that. I remember being really intrigued by the trailer though. I gotta say, I watched the trailer for A Woman Under the Influence and didn't know what to think tbh. Lol

There have been plenty of movies though where I was left underwhelmed by the trailer and loved the movie. My guess would be it's just one of those pieces where you can't isolate the real soul or charm of it by hacking it up into a short 2+ minute preview.

    What did I say, motherfucker!?

JK, and also don’t listen to me about anything when it comes to movies. Pi is just my favorite of his, even though I haven’t even seen all of his movies since. I have only seen like 12 movies total in the past 10 years.

Boogie Nights is the greatest. And Inherent Vice, while borderline incoherent on first viewing, is infinitely rewatchable and has grown to become one of my favorite movies of the last few years.

Enemy = double dose of Jake = win

And yeah tbh I never watched Cassavetes trailers because its nearly impossible to accurately describe them so a trailer never does them justice either. It's like Science Fiction, best to just immerse yourself completely into it and just watch the whole thing without any pre conceived notions.
