You havent seen Y Tu Mamá También (2001) - IMDb ?? Must see movie imo. Chivo Cuaron DP's thats one of my favorite movies of his.

As for Aronofsky, I haven't seen Noah and basically think of that one as a fun experiment for him. Has an asterik beside the title for me. He's not suited for big studio backed and controlled big budget productions although I still want to watch it for the simple fact that its an oddity compared to the rest of his body of work same with The Fountain. That one would of benefited from a bigger budget actually.

Requiem, The Wrestler and Black Swan are all peak Aronofsky films. I still need to see Pi

Do you have it on vinyl? I hear you can really hear all the intricaties of the soundtrack on vinyl

 

It's the only one of his I haven't seen. For shame, I know. But thank god for Cuaron for introducing me, and pretty much the world, to Emmanuel Lubezki. I will see anything that he is the DP on.

Chivo is the best.

 

It really isn't a good movie, I can't really defend it. I just enjoyed the music and some of the "artsy" scenes in it. Like the creation bit. Also the rock monsters were kinda fun. But honestly when Clint Mansell music is playing it's really hard for me to not enjoy what I'm watching

 

Man, The Tree of Life might be the beautiful movie I've ever seen. That movie just...floats. That's the only word I can think of to describe the cinematography.

 

I remember sneaking into the Harry potter movie he directed after i paid and watched something else first. I loved it and its still the one and only HP movie i have seen

 

See I thought The Fountain was perfect with the smaller budget. I really love that movie

 

Shame the rest of the movie is a bit of a letdown imo but yeah one of the most gorgeous films ever tbh

It was a good time and I made it out!

 

I love that whole series, but that one is easily the best. I remember seeing Prisoner of Azkaban when it came out, and this was before I knew anything about film, and being blown away. Also, as a child, The Little Princess was a household staple. I'd be interested in giving that a rewatch

 

It's probably my favorite movie ever, if not, in my top three :/

I pretty much love everything Mallick touches, but I think The Tree of Life is essential.

 

You're one of my favorite posters on here now so no hate from me. Also i havent seen that one but I doubt its his best but i have no doubt that its prob up there with his best tho. Kinda like Following for Nolan, I mean its good but its no Inception.

Like i said in my post i havent seen Pi so really i cant and shouldnt comment because truth be told until i see it for myself i dont know. You and @KidLightning might be right.
