@Drewski is probably all set to put it on the archive, but I'm downloading it now in case he somehow misses the 24 hour window, if there's a gap I can throw it on google drive or something

Yeah i have to go to bed too but lemme just say this is legit one of the best nights of my life i mean thats sounds like an exageration but i could say the same thing about the week SF came out. It truly was one of the most magical weeks of my life. This band means so much to me and so many other people that at this point its much more than just about the music. The amazing memories that BN have gifted me with never cease to amaze me.

  3. if I had a way to rotate the video at the correct spots (he goes back and forth between vertical and horizontal) I would upload it

Doesn't compare to a stream like, at all, but my stupid story videos finally uploaded. They're hella short tho.

I need to drive home lol

Oh man, I was at this show and it was incredible. Like 1000x better than when I saw them on the Devil and God ten year last fall.

It was my first Brand New show where the people around me knew more words than I did and I am sooooo happy with how many SF songs we got.

This festival was weirdly small, but it paid off in spades, I got to chat for several minutes and get a photo with Charly Bliss.

Show was great. Having a fresh setlist with 7 SF songs played was awesome! I videoed the entire show so as soon as I can upload them tomorrow I will and then I'll rip the audio for the archive.

My wife is so jealous she wasn't there since Jesse played Soco as an unplanned encore and the 4 times I've taken her to see them they haven't played it.

Just now watching the stream due to the hurricane. The security guard during Same Logic may be the greatest thing I have seen in months! Someone get that dude some merch!

Okay. I don't have the energy to articulate a well thought out paragraph so I'm making a list of personal highlights.

    1. Dunno if this was noticeable on stream but Jesse messing up on 137 and starting to sing on the first chorus when it's supposed to just be the guitar and then backing away from the mic and laughing at his mistake was v cute and it was then that it hit me that they had never played this song live and I was just like, holy shit

    2. There was a moment during Sowing Season where I was just feeling it and lowkey emotional and this random dude next to me just puts his hand on my shoulder and we totally had a moment. A simple, kind gesture, but it was awesome.

    3. Then, also during Sowing Season, when Jesse is screaming, "I am not your friend, I'm not your lover..." that same guy, along with like three other dudes and myself, somehow ended up in a huddle where we were all screaming that part together and it was really amazing

    4. Then Jesus Christ started playing and that same group of people and myself were joined by two random girls and we all had our arms around each other and were just basking in how incredible it was.

    5. I'm personally not a big fan of Soco but turns out it's basically the perfect closer. I'm 25, everyone around me was my age or older and just hearing everyone sing, "I'm gonna stay 18 forever" was kind of an emotional guy punch. I was just like....fuck. Jesse is getting old, I'm getting old, this band is ending, and I'm going to die one day lol. It was like the perfect melancholy tone to leave everyone with.

    6. Lastly, after the show all of those guys, myself, and those two girls gave each other hugs and we told each other we loved each other and said goodbye and it was magical. I was 100% sober too and they seemed to be as well. We were just so stoked on the music.

With taxes and fees I paid $90. If I would have known beforehand the experience I was going have, I'd pay twice that amount, no question. If I could change anything I guess I would have bumped up Jesse's vocals a tad, replaced At the Bottom with Sink or Daisy, Out of Mana with Waste, and worked in Limousine somehow. With that said, it was basically a perfect show and one for the books. I feel like this is how I react after every Brand New show but honestly this was special, no doubt about it.

Edit: oh yeah DUH, In the Water totally made me tear up. That chorus just gets me.

This show was so stunning that I didn't even noticed until it ended how many set staples were missing. Science Fiction songs are so wonderful that it didn't even feel like there were only 4 TDAG songs

Fucking lol. I was just looking at the stream and when 451 comes on someone commented, "this is shed buildin' music" and I don't know why but that makes me laugh so hard

I hate that they continue to play that song live.

So I read something about an encore. Does anyone have that list?

Watching the live stream and looking at that set list just cements for me how Science Fiction was the missing final piece in the jigsaw.

Such a strong set and it had none of the following regulars:

    Tommy Gun
    Luca
    Limousine
    Sink

And however many others you care to mention.

It's just a shame we'll only get one more year of live shows because I'd be really interested to see how much they could mix it up with such a strong discography behind them.

Can't wait to see them in November.
