I back this, but I really do think you should at least listen to Chelsea Smile first, just to see where they started (or at least started to get big).

I started with @mattfreaksmeout's song recommendations, then the 2 you recommended from their third album, now starting whatever the album you keep pushing is called. Then I'll decide whether I listen to more after that, but I probably won't listen to any more today.

    Thoughts on those 5 songs:

    • "Pray For Plagues" was pretty terrible and what I assumed all of their songs sounded like.
    • "Chelsea Smile" was much better.
    • "Diamonds Aren't Forever" was not as good as "Chelsea Smile".
    • The synthesized strings and stuff on "It Never Ends" are pretty cheesy, but the song wasn't terrible.
    • After hearing "Don't Go", I just want Lights to replace their vocalist in every song.

Just the obviously synthesized strings. I could do that on my Casio keyboard from the '80's.

sometimes making things sound bad is a deliberate choice. I'm sure they had the budget for actual strings.

That doesn't mean I have to like it or can't criticize it. Cheese is cheese is cheese.

Just had an executive give me attitude when I asked what I thought was a legitimate question in a meeting. After he gave his long winded answer I gave a Larry "Okay" with the inflection and everything.

@Kingjohn_654 Tiger Lou RIYL is tough so I will just list genres instead: Indie rock, Alternative rock, Indie pop. They are a Swedish band from Stockholm.

Ok this will be the last thing I say about BMTH but I've been on a kick today now and I just want to note to @KidLightning that if you like Don't Go and Lights being featured on the song, you should definitely listen to Crucify Me from that album.

I have the Live At Wembley DVD. It's real solid. I tried to order the deluxe Live at the Royal Albert Hall about 10 times from their kickstarter for it and my order never took unfortunately. They have a full orchestra for that show.

BMTH are my 15th most listened to band on last.fm and "It Never Ends" is my 8th most listened to song. They were very therapeutic during my divorce, that song especially.

Yeah full orchestra, choir and everything. Quite the production and it's really effing good. Would like to have it on blu ray without paying a fortune for it. The cd and vinyl packages are all sold out now. At least most of the footage is on youtube. Just watched Happy Song today. Funny (and cool) seeing a wall of death in the Royal Albert Hall. It's so well shot too that's the other nice thing about it.
