Got a strange email from my work today, not feeling great and am a little worried. Hoping it’s nothing and I’m just reading into it.

 

I got to see them at Riot Fest last year! Pretty cool, I wasn't too familiar with them, but I love this song now.

My band played a show tonight and it was just so much fun. It was at one of the best like rock venues in my city, it was our first time playing there. The guy that runs the venue and the booking happened to be there and LOVED us. Like after the show he was like “you guys just totally remind me of Clarity era Jimmy Eat World and all the run for cover bands right now” (Clarity is one of my favorite albums ever), and I exchanged numbers with him and he wants us to open for some names that are actually bands I really love and it’s kind of a dream come true if it actually happens

I hope I’m not bragging I’m just really excited haha

 

Dude!! That is awesome! I was actually thinking tonight about Maylong and when the album is gonna be done and ready! That is way rad that your show went that well. Also Clarity is the GOAT. I’m stoked for you man!! Wish I lived up there so I could see you guys play!

Our album has kind of been stalled for the past few months but we needed it. For like a year we didn’t have many band practices and everything was just recording recording recording, and when you’re doing it all yourself it can get really tiresome. I think we needed a break from it for a while so we could just jam out together again and it’s totally rejuvenated our band. So hopefully we can finish things up soon here. Tonight was a huge motivator to finish too, because if we really do end up opening for some of the bands he mentioned, we need at least an EP out.
