One of the best on the album. I really love that album. I wish everyone felt the same.

 

Gotta admire that TUG guy he is truly unwavering in his worship of the used. Its baffling at times but i also cant look away from it. On AP he was even more hardcore. It took a little while for him to come out of the shadows on Chorus but now he's back in full force.

Anyone who thinks Brand New uses a lot non-sequitors and one-liners needs to listen to The Front Bottoms lmao. I love them but golly-gee they sure have a lot of really random shit in some of their songs.

 

Ah ok gotcha. I'm definitely curious to hear it for myself. I love polarizing albums.

SciFi feels like the band finally gave Jesse the keys to the car, and now I'm itching for a solo record.

 

You think so? It really sounds the like the most full-band effort to me

 

In a way it kind of feels like both, in that everyone is at their best on this record, and Jesse went above and beyond in his writing.

There's been so much speculation about what they're all going to do after 2018, but I wouldn't be too surprised if we see Jesse do solo stuff in a few years after Bowie is a little older. A record with Jesse, KD and Andy would be a dream come true.

 

It definitely feels like a collective vision and intentional, but I guess it feels like their most Jesse driven record to me. More so than ever the band (besides crazy guitar solos) sits back. Brian and Garrett really do a great job of sitting in the pocket, and are even more subdued than every other record.

 

Guys @TUG is the new Blake beats we need to get them over here!

 

I really want Jesse to produce the next Bad Books record.

 

I like the way you think. Could be why they put it off to 2019

My lunch today. Spaghetti squash with a peanut butter sauce carrots and other stuff in it. Topped with edamame beans, cilantro and siracha sauce. Spring rolls on the side not pictured here. It's pretty pretty good.
