Is it weird? Unfortunately that seems to be the case a lot..... weren't we just speaking on Louis CK and the potential allegations against him... look at how he does his standup. There's a lot of entertainers with a history of that. Hell look at someone like Ike Turner or Chris Brown, can sing/perform music about love all tenderly then go beat the hell out of their woman.

I'll never understand it myself... but it's not weird to me at least, deplorable but not weird.... if anything I think some of em use that exact shit for cover. And hell, some may genuinely want what John sung about and just look down on women or minorities which makes them a bigot on top of an abuser and etc... people are oxymorons and assholes like that.

 

That would be a beautiful thing as well. I only reference the pairing I referenced because of the track they do together on the record, and I know they toured together as well!

This gif reminded me how much I love the episode of Curb when Larry's ears are fucked up and the toilet flush noise is too loud. I remember watching that episode with my girl for the first time and not knowing why he was freaking out when he flushed and she told me his hearing lmao.

 

I’d say Johns case is different because the Beatles music caused movements and world change. The Beatles had more a bigger impact on the world.

I've never been to the restaurant, but she goes around the area to the farmer's markets on the weekend and they're so good.

I absolutely get your point, I guess it's just not something as rare as it is just an confusing and destructive personality clash, I absolutely agree the Beatles were bigger than the other names mentioned, but the parallel is similar just John gets given a bigger pass cus the Beatles were the biggest band in the world and the world didnt see an impact like them again till Nirvana so of course he gets a "But we like him" nod from a lot of the world. But that's where I think the personal aspect comes in with the whole "Do you separate the art and the artist?" Everyone loves at least one Beatles song, and knows the one infamous Lennon song lol.

Disturbing is definitely the right word, for all the reasons stated but also "How do you not see your problematic aspects you're responsible for in the world you're tryna see change? and how do you justify trying to be a voice of change knowing that about yourself?"

 

Playing Boy Who Died Wolf and it's got some jams on it but yeah Mister Asylum is still slightly better.
