Lol. I agree with this, but it's not just Daisy. It's kind of how he's always written lyrics. The man loves a great one-liner.

This is twice now you've posted a video that I watch wide-eyed with joy and confusion.

I don't really know for sure but I assumed that 451 was a Vin song. He's the one who usually is really out there with the metaphors. Jesse's usually not, besides "Champ went down like a clown in the second round""

"This is twice now" by Lydia is stuck in my head. Your fault.

Mmmmmm I can't remember the name but it was when I was posting terrible music videos in either this thread or Silverstein. I believe my exact response was "WHAT AM I WATCHING" haha.

Edit: also, I forwarded the above drumming video to 4 friends and 3 have already responsed laughing.

What’s funny about the drumming video is just the fact that somebody had to set that up and promote it lol and dude is doing blast beats haha. and then the end cuts off like mid wave...I dunno, it’s just perfect

I'm quite curious about this pre-gap track revelation on TDAG that happened to me earlier. How did this happen? Am I showing early stages of dementia? Or is Tate really just keeping so many Brand New secrets.

Tate, give us all your tots. The fans demand it.

Happy 10 year anniversary to one of the most criminally underrated albums in my collection: Far-Less - A Toast To Bad Taste.

I still remember pre-ordering that record from Interpunk back in the day (I was always more into Interpunk than Smartpunk) and it came with a tshirt. Played it tonight to celebrate and it's still such a strong record from start to finish. That band should of been way bigger than they were after that album came out. Sadly they disbanded 2 years later.

I always loved and admired the direction they decided to go in with that record. They started out as a post-hardcore band but Toast to Bad Taste is straight up Alternative/indie rock and is so much more mature and focused than their past work that was a bit all over the place at times. Also it introduced a new member Elizabeth Pina and there's some real nice piano/keyboard parts on the record as well as a super sweet solo on the track Gentlemen (Go To Sleep)

    Hell yeah.

Just listen tbh. It’s not a perfect album, but it should have been the one to catapult them into the big leagues. Gentlemen (Go to Sleep) is a GOAT song

Honestly I would just give it a shot without any RIYL. Thats why I specified the genre. Definitely Brand New I would say tbh. And what I like the most about that record is like Science Fiction or ABMTTS by Manchester it's a true full album experience. Almost all of the tracks blend seamlessly into each other some are even their own track like Segue To So Glad and the track after is So Glad. Hopefully you give it a shot that band ruled especially that album

That would be a really good thread idea.... "Albums far too many missed out on"/Criminally underappreciated if it don't already exist. Who doesn't love rec threads?

Thanks for sharing the vid dude I was just about to edit my first post and add it. I agree not a perfect album but they were onto something really special shame that it ended up being their last release. They had so much potential. And like BN were really breaking away from the scene that they started out in. They introduced me to House of Fools and The Glass Ocean 2 bands that they toured with at the end.

There is a thread, it’s “bands that faded away” or something

I haven't seen, my fault if there really is - but devil's advocate is that the same really, or just same intention? Would love a thread dedicated to that exact idea.
I use to have a collection of bands like that on my old desktop (RIP) ;_; i only can get on it in safe mode... should get an External HD and save as much as possible before its gone for good.

My main wheelhouse of knowing really unknown/criminally underappreciated artists is hip hop, I could really use a run down memory lane it's been about 3 years since I was on that. Would be refreshing.

Another album that turned 10 this year not long ago that I would add to that category of underappreciated records is Scary Kids Scaring Kids self titled record. They totally perfected their sound on that record. The lyrics are honest, meaningful and emotional. Tbh one of my favorite post-hardcore records ever. I'm not even ashamed to admit it.
