Decided I’m going to spin SciFi now that I have it to actually physically spin. Who cares that it’s 1:26AM and I have to be at work at 7AM????

Edit: holy shit the guitars on Can’t Get It Out sound fucking amazing on vinyl.

 

I enjoy a good vinyl. However, whenever I play my YFW vinyl it skips at the end horribly. I even replaced my turntable needle, and the album, and it STILL does it. I really don't get it.

 

I’ve been through at least 5 copies and 10 needles and I have the same problem! How unfortunate because it’s such a classic and beautiful record with so many intricacies up to that point.

Can’t Get It Out, Same Logic, In the Water, Desert are the ones that come to mind right now, but the whole album sounds so so so good, from the instrumental clips to the tape recordings to the actual songs

saw paramore was nominated for grammys, any idea on who was nominated for rock album of the year? I feel like this could at least compete with the killers, fleet foxes, and arcade fire

 

I'm sure Foo Fighters are going to be nominated, I definitely do not see Brand New being nominated in there

I was about to be like hey none of those albums would qualify for this year, and then I saw what you did.

 

Worth noting they were not actually nominated, but were submitted for consideration. Hopefully they get nominated in at least a couple. It would seem insane for them to not even get a nom for best pop vocal album.
