They said "next 14 months" so I'm assuming they'll tour pretty much the entire year. Depends how many places they're going to hit up, but I'd guess for California it'll be Coachella in the spring and then the rest of the state towards the end of the year? Maybe start their final shows on the west coast and end in their home town

Also I've said this before but it needs to be said again now that we have SF. With 5 albums + the demos finally getting an official release all this is missing now imo is a live album. Something like the Thrice cd/dvd set or even just like the Anthology release for Brand New would be incredible and would sell like hot cakes if they decided to do it

The band coming to an end would be much easier to swallow if we get a live album, and maybe a collection of unreleased tracks.... and also a couple more LPs and 10 more years of touring;)

 

Thursday's Kill the House Lights is what I want them to do.

 

Yeah I figured they will spend the summer doing the usual festival thing. My wife and I decided to hold off on planing next years east coast vacation until their next tour. In 2014 we spent a week in the Carolinas and saw them in Myrtle Beach and Charollet, it was awesome

 

That would be cool

 

Like with the documentary portion. They could interview long island bands and friends and family about how they started. They can interview bands they've toured with. They can interview people they've worked on their music with. I'd watch it.

LG makes awesome 4k smart TVs. I got a 43 inch smart TV for $300 over Black Friday weekend on Best Buy's website, $500 usually. I'm sure you can find a 55inch in that range, and you get apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play Movies, Spotify, etc. without needing some fancy UHD streaming device like a UHD Chromecast or UHD Apple TV. Android phone connectivity as well, and a mobile app can be used to work as a remote with iOS and Android

 

Wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday!

 

March is actually when you’ll see deeper price cuts as they try to eliminate stock for the new models.

I got my LG B6 OLED 55” for $1100 last year, which was $3000 just 7-8 months earlier.

If you’re impatient, you are looking at maybe a $100-200 difference from November to March.

 

I'll get another 4K tv when PS5 and Xbox Extremo launch in 2-3 years. The 4K tv that I have performs horribly with gaming, so that's in another room.

 

Also, OLED is amazing, but only when done right. It's very easy to have uneven lighting and "screen banding" issues that look like bad light bleed, even though it technically shouldn't be possible since it isn't a backlit display. Reasons for this include uneven electical current going to each of the individual pixels. It is phenomenal, but I trust very little with that tech outside of Samsung. Just look up all the issues the Google Pixel 2XL and LG V30 have been having with their OLED panels. They're phones, yes, but same tech. It is also known to cause some motion sickness for some people, depending on how bad it is.

Personally, I would go for an LED LG UHD smart TV. They're surprisingly affordable and I can vouch for you that the video quality is gorgeous compared to my regular HD Sony Bravia and the TV UI (WebOs) is very intuitive
