I take some pleasure in knowing that the Yankees are kind of stacked right now and will be a force for the next 5-8 seasons with the talent they have. Effectively will keep the red sux and native Americans from winning anytime soon.

I only get to play destiny 2 at my friends place since i dont have the money to drop on a new gen atm, but wouldve loved to be in on this. Still not sure if I like Hunter or Warlord more, leaning towards Hunter.

 

I have no team since fuck Dolan and the Nets just aren't something I can concern myself with (probably would be a huge fan though if thinks worked out differently with my Grandpa being sick since he was a BK kid/Dodgers fan and the Nets came to BK right as he was fighting cancer). My girl wants me to pick up her Wizards, only team I ever kinda liked is the Hornets though..... funny cus basketball was always my sport playing wise.

 

I think they’ll definitely be good for a while. The starting rotation still has some question marks though. I think the AL will be pretty competitive for the foreseeable future.

With smaller market (lower payroll) teams like the Indians, it’ll be interesting to see what they do in the offseason. Cleveland has several free agents (Brantley, Shaw, Bruce, and Santana are the key ones). Most likely a couple of those guys will leave in free agency so it’ll be tough to match this year’s record. I do like the starting rotation though. I know Kluber looked bad in his two starts against the Yankees but he’s still a #1 starter.

Anyway...I’m due for a Science Fiction listen soon. Maybe tomorrow?

 

Yeah the Yankees weakness has been pitching for awhile. Hoping they can get some younger arms in there. Not sure if Tanaka will be back or CC. Yankees just klubers his number this year.

 

Severino and Gray are pretty solid. I think Tanaka can opt out if I heard correctly? I know he already makes a ton so not sure if it makes sense for him to opt out. I haven’t looked at who all will be a free agent but I’m sure they’ll see who’s available there too

Edit: Darvish and Arrieta will both be free agents

Yeah the have a lot of money to spend this off-season. Not sure what they need other than starting pitching so that's good. Severino is really good and should take the training wheels off him next year. Gray is good too. Tanaka is good, but when hitable he's very hitable. CC is just old but still good and not worth the $.

Don't know if Pineda is ever going to be what he was with Seattle which is pretty disappointing.

 

Thanks again everybody. Now all I have to look forward to is the Packers losing tomorrow to the saints and not having Rodgers for the rest of the season.

 

I already have to deal with the Dodgers being in the WS. I can’t deal with the Yankees making it too

 

Dodgers were going to win the series either way I guess. But still would have liked to get there.

Show was awesome. Coulda done without some of the Daisy and moar TDAG But overall one hell of a show.

That was my least favorite of the night hahaha...tho the jam parts were good.

mostly the line about feeling like a cleveland sports fan. (cleveland had been in a championship drought for a reeeheeallly long time until the cavs got good a couple years ago)

browns are terrible, the indians are good but always lose anyway, but cavs are good, so they look forward to baseketball season at this point in year.

I love how at the end of Batter Up right after the thunder Jesse says that was the one right there, what we were waiting for. Its so fitting I mean they were waiting to catch lightning in a bottle and that's exactly what they managed to do with Science Fiction so it was well worth the wait in the end. I'm still enjoying this album so damn much. I've got my fair share of theories and interesting interpretations with many things on SF. The Daisy callback/7 years is another very interesting thing to me.
