I think in the past six or so months I’ve gone to more shows with my parents than ever before:

I went to the Tom Petty and U2 show with my mom and the QOTSA/Royal Blood show with my dad. Oh and I took him to see Cracker for Father’s Day haha.

My dad stopped listening to new music in the late 80s...until he heard blink-182 in Charlie's Angels.

 

My biological father went to prison for 15 years in the early 90's. He still only listens to early 90s gangster rap.

They played a show last night and Gates and Owel opened for them that's such an amazing lineup to me

I haven’t spoken to my dad in almost 20 years.

But he liked Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, 10000 Maniacs, AC/DC, that stuff.

 

Saw TEN a few weeks ago. They played the Room's Too Cold in full. The Movielife played after them. It was 2003 for a couple hours .

Well...she asked a couple people if they were interested, but they declined for various reasons (kids, close to the holidays, etc) and I could tell she was a little bummed. I’ve been to a ton of shows by myself but that’s not really something she’s comfortable with. So I told her I’d go and bought tickets. I figure this place is only about 10 minutes from home, I like Christmas music in general, and I could have a couple beverages there too.

My mom likes Elvis, Oasis, and Green Day. And How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

 

My dad is the reason I love the Police, Styx, Firefall, Foreigner, Michael Jackson, Suzanne Vega, and a bunch of others I can't think of right now.
