Listening to some songs off of YFW on shuffle for the first time in ages thanks to @Iago and his shower scene post. I've always wondered what the original recording of Your Favorite Weapon sounded like and if it was better than the rerecording since the original was lost we will never know but I can't help but wonder. Those are some of the things that keep me up at night.

I liked the re-recorded version of Jude Law quite a bit. It would've been cool to hear all of the songs like that.

 

What version is that? The album version or a different version?

 

Currently debating between making plans tonight and just staying in. Decisions decisions.

 

YFW is enjoyable for what it is but man it's like a completely different band more so than any of their other records. It's the debut so obviously it was going to be that way. But seriously Science Fiction and YFW, I honestly think some people literally wouldn't believe it's the same band and I can't say I would blame them if they thought that. It's hard to believe.

 

I know they'll probably lose to the Dodgers but this was a rebuilding year!!! I'm happy either way. definitely a successful season.

he's mildly funny at best, and that's mostly due to his voice. but he's incredibly racist and seems like a pretty bad person in general.

 

this is exactly what I told my sister, if you listened to YFW and Deja, they sound like the same band, TDAG and Scifi sure sound like same band, Daisy sounds like different band.

so brand new is actually 3 different bands.

One time I was in the car with my aunt and I played Vices followed by Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot and she thought they were different bands

Like when compared to Manchester even their unreleased debut is less of a stretch from that to ABMTTS than YFW is to SF. Nobody Sings Anymore honestly has some underrated jams on it. Hope it gets pressed on vinyl someday.
