Live Review: Brand New at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre (10/19)

 

OK so I should be checking out Hot Water Music, The Movielife, I Am the Avalanche, Bad Religion, A Wilhelm Scream... these are all bands I'm familiar with from back in the day but never really dug into because I was obsessed with Coheed or Death Cab or whatever I was doing in the '05. I cover Chuck Ragan's "The Boat" acoustically all the time so I'm pretty sure HWM will work fine.

 

The Loved Ones are also fantastic. and the Flatliners.

Enemy Mind by The Bronx is my jam. Never listened closely enough to The Swellers either and couldn't frankly stand BTMI! back in the day, maybe my tastes have changed

Fantastic local music plug, I went to live band karaoke at O'Hanlons last night and half this band showed up, we all sang Won't Back Down together on stage at the end

 

I'll have to check those out. I also really enjoy the Worriers album from last month.

 

Seeing them next week in Charleston and I don't think my tickets were ever delivered....
