  1. That's totally understandable. The fourth and sixth books are probably my favourites, so I'm a bit lighter with the GoF film. I wish I could separate my fandom from the films but I can't lol

I would probably consider this the band's best effort lyrically

I mean, it’s a very small subplot that kind of pops up every now and then. It’s really driven by a bunch of characters who are trying to assist the guy who showed off his own uncircumcised self to a crowded theatre a couple times to overthrow an irredeemable evil 70+ year old wizard who looks like 40ish.

Now Brand New needs to make a song about harming kids that don't eat their dinner and we'll be set

You're just trying to get reported right? these are some pretty bad takes on this album. I know you don't like it and think its their 4th best but these are ridiculous things to say over and over again.

It’s not easy. I still read a couple of the books in sequence every year when I need a pick me up. I find Order of the Phoenix to be prettt strong in its faithfulness to the books, while they still couldn’t include everything. The payoff is very satisfying in the film version. One thing I don’t like is Grawp...like, he looks ridiculous. And that CG has not aged well, and will always pull me out of the magic momentarily lol.

Over and over? I think this is the first time I've sat down with most of the lyrics aside from me speaking about how much I don't like the Nagasaki line in 137.

Can Never be Heaven and Same Logic are also decent songs lyrically, at least for the first verse or two in Same Logic. The second verse/fish line/ugly and lovely coupling is pretty weak.

They're the two songs on the record that I can't recall the melody of without hearing part of the song.

Waste is good. Obviously the "this is the last one" line hits pretty hard.

I get Desert, I just find it pretty clunky songwriting and I don't find the chorus very interesting.

Ok. All the songs from SF are hanging from a cliff, and will plummet to their death if you aren’t quick. No Control, being so jittery, lost its grip immediately. Out of Mana has also given up because it spent too much time playing video games and did not have the muscle tone to endure. You can save all but one of the remaining songs from their imminent doom. Which song do you let fall.

Desert has such a good chorus. I was just thinking yesterday this may have made its way to my second favorite album of theirs. Maybe number one some day but it's hard to say considering how much shit TDAG got me through at just the right age

Wow we are talking about the album what a great night..

I’ve explained many times why I think 137 is stunning lyrically but here it is one time

The Nagasaki line is important bc it’s the bomb that no one talks about. People mention Hiroshima but Nagasaki is the one we really should be ashamed of. There was no reason to drop the bomb the war was basically over at that point. It was just mindless destruction. Which is probably how our world will end, mindless destruction. Just hope I can see last Jedi First

It’s grown on me, but I’d still cut it first. I wouldn’t be happy...but I could if I was forced to choose.

Uhh actually people want me reported for my posts so we should go back to talking about Harry Potter or whatever.

And I completely understand the gravity of the reference, which is why I guess I side eye the actual context of it in the song. I find it a bit cheap. Ditto the "boys kissing boys" line, but that's another story.

Are people still generally put off by the lyrics? I know that was a grievance for some at first.

But “Out of Mana” perfected every inch weeknights down at the gym!

I already liked that song, but gained more appreciation for it, musically, seeing it live last night.

Japan bet at the time we didn't have a second bomb containing that spectacular level of destruction, had to prove 'em wrong because 'MURICA.

Going pretty well! Just watched the Cavs game and I’m going to try to go to bed at a decent time tonight.
