Can't Get it Out is a great song

 

It really is. I love that he's basically apologizing for / explaining why it took so long. And the guitars are just fun.

 

I think I said this earlier in the thread but it sounds like it could have come straight from Deja/the demos

 

I still don't really fuck with 137 and find it one of the weaker songs on the album. Everything up until it is great, though.

 

This baffles me to no end, 137 is one of the highlights of the bands entire career

 

Can't Get It Out is so catchy, relatable ("not just a manic depressive / toting around my own cloud") but also a song so close to the band and their own emotions. It's one of my favourites on the album at the moment

 

How do you feel about No Control?

 

I think the verses are pretty boring and I still find the Nagasaki line to be poorly written

 

One of the highlights. Nothing super special but I enjoy the melody and think it could've fit on their earlier albums

 

Waste or In the Water have to be my favorites.

 

The solo of 137 is cool, I'm sure it'll be cool to see live tomorrow. I'm just not a "solo" person

It’s a real fictional thing, yes. Hopefully you read HP to your kids one day. Then you will know all about the long running beef between Nick and the Headless Hunt, led by Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore.

 

I am not reading a story to my kids where an uncircumcised character is shunned by other, circumcised characters!

 

My wife and I have passes and are there pretty routinely. Love it there.

My wife and I can barely watch GoF anymore. It’s so lifeless...I can’t exactly explain why. The sixth, while definitely offensive as a super fan, does at least have a flow that I can respect when I take my fandom out of the equation. But that’s just me.

 

I have an audible version of one I’m sitting on for a rainy day.

 

451 still sounds like Marilyn Manson to me. It's okay, I bet it'll be fun live.

I have to say the lyrics are pretty weak across the board on this thing. Can't Get it Out is a standout in terms of lyrical content

Actually the verse lyrics on that are pretty weak. The chorus is good though. Did Vin write this entire record?

 

They’re pretty fun. Definitely no HP, but it’s not meant to be!

I’ve read the first two and have the third one but just haven’t started yet.
