That too! really bizarre. But I am never surprised when it comes to this band.

 

The Tower Theater is pretty legendary, a ton of classic artist play there when they come through. I was just there to see Daniel Johnston a few weeks ago and saw Bon Iver there years ago. I just don't think I'd put out a lot of money to see BN there. The Electric Factory is a much, much better venue and the only place that I've seen them when they come.

 

I love the Electric Factory. The sound quality is great and it's relatively spacious. I've seen a lot of rappers and hardcore bands there, never something like Brand New so it's gonna be a unique experience.

 

the price for tower theater tickets are significantly less than what i paid for EF

 

My first Brand New show was electric factory in 2007, and yeah it is a good venue.

But since I'm an old fogie now I can't say I'm unhappy about having seats at the Tower Theater instead of having to stand all night :-x

Hey remember that time when we all were sharing stories of shit that bothers us at work? I remembered another since it just happened. People walking into the shop talking on their phone, and completely blowing off my greeting and questions. This isn't Wal Mart asshole, I help you in the store or you will find nothing for yourself.

Hah, so she is still on the phone, she's complaining about one of her real estate clients, and comes up and tosses an expensive jacket on the counter....On top of my hands as i'm writing out an inventory sheet. I take a breath, start to fold it and bag it up while she continues to wander around complaining on her phone...and the first time she's acknowledged the human I am, it's to yell from the back of the shop "NO BAG, NO PAPER. Sorry, i'm still listening....."


I hate working in the retail business. Wish I wasn't good at it. Needless to say I turned up Alanis Morrissette so it makes it harder for her to hear.

 

Retail is the worst. I luckily only had to work retail for a year at a CVS in San Francisco but it was terrible. The amount of people who tried/succeeded in shoplifting, the wannabe extreme couponers, the kids from the nearby middle school, the lazy coworkers, the rude people like you're talking about. It makes me mad just thinking about it lol

Food service also sucks.

 

I was an actual good shoplifter and a good extreme couponer. didn't really steal from CVS though.

I'm a wizard with coupons though, don't have as much time to do that now with kids.

 

recently found a grocery store that's trying to compete with Prime now, instacart and the other ones. it's a Randalls and it's owned by safeway so I don't feel too bad, but I can get groceries delivered CHEAP.

getting an order tonight retail cost $158.48 Cost to me delivered $45.xx.

unbeatable.

 

We had an entire two shelves of Tide Pods stolen from our store once. I was on break, and lord knows where the other employees and the manager were. I came out of the break room and saw the empty shelves and asked if we had more in the back or if they were moved to the stock room. Nope, just swiped by like two or three people and taken out the back of the store into the connected garage.

And I was totally fine with couponers if they knew what they were doing. If anything it was like a break from dealing with tons of people or stocking the shelves. It's the couponers that didn't know what they were doing that killed me, like bringing in conflicting coupons, or expired coupons, or coupons that didn't match what they were trying to buy, or trying to price match stuff from Walgreens (which was literally the next block over).

i used to shoplift cds from a now defunct corporate chain and then sell them on to second hand shops in bulk. entrepreneurial shit $$$

haha yeah, I hate couponers that don't know what they are doing too! slows everything down and gives us a bad name. (I didn't steal the tide pods)

 

I once found a site called yourmusic.com maybe? I don't remember, they had all their CDs for 5.99 or something like that.

I dropshipped sold those on ebay. made a good bundle of money before they banned me for dropshipping.

I stole from hot topic mostly CDs some shirts. their cds were like $18. they deserved it.
