I just wish Maynard wasn't so indignant at times being asked about music his fans love. His fans can be insufferable at times but idk... I'd look at it like a blessing to have any fans care about what I'm doing, people are asking you about music you havent done in a decade. Love Tool & A Perfect Circle though.

One of my best friend's senior quote was "If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off." Always thought that was witty, actually showed him that a few months back and he totally forgot and was impressed with himself lmao.

On second thought...I actually expect Jesse Lacey to be sitting on my front porch when I get home from work today with an ice cold beer and a signed copy of Science Fiction.

 

There's been a few times where I looked back at something I wrote in high school, whether it's a song or essay or something, and I'm like "wow, I actually really like this!" But then for everyone of those moments there's 50 more where I look back at my high school/college self and just shake my head.

 

BUT WHY

 

Back in high school (nearly 20 years ago at this point, holy shit!) we had to come up with our own original witticism. I was struggling with it until I came up with this :

"One who makes a pitiful attempt at being witty and creative would be better off simply saying what needs to be said."

I got a B. The teacher did not appreciate the meta-ness.
