I've only listened to this song a handful of times over the past few years. I love the beginning of this song but it sort of loses some steam for me somewhere in the middle. I'm sure I'll fall in love with it eventually.
Nothing's changed I assume? I've been listening to this song on youtube for years now. I do enjoy it, but it's a bit meandering.
i'm actively trying to not care about this weird string of non-full length releases but damn i love this track
Remember when getting anything on wax by this band was a long, expensive journey? What a time to be alive.
It doesn't seem like too much has changed, but now I can get it in FLAC quality which is sure nice to have!
I'm trying not to listen to these too much because I don't want to be sick of them when the full length finally drops, but all of these new songs have been really good. Part of me hopes that none of these, or a good portion of these aren't on the new album.
Only Nightmare has been confirmed to be on the new album. The second single from the new record is still supposed to be dropped before the end of the summer.
Somehow never heard this if what people above said is true. The vocals reminds me of something from Daisy, but I can't think of what.
Three new songs from Brand New in the last year or so, plus the studio records of the demos? For Brand New, this is practically prolific.
"And the people you love But you didn't quite know They're the places that you wanted to go" -People As Places As People, Modest Mouse. "And in the places you go You'll find these people you know All sewing patterns into clothing that you've called your own" - Out of Range, Brand New. Even lyrical similarities. It's not a secret Brand New is heavily influenced by Modest Mouse, the end bass line of "You Stole" is from a Modest Mouse song. They're both in my top five bands so me getting vibes from one of the other is kind of cool honestly.
Great to finally have a proper quality version of this song, I've always liked it a lot, especially the "torn up, tattered, worn out piece of fabric" part
Not to mention they are currently touring together... At the MA show, Jesse said that he thought Modest Mouse is the GOAT.
